If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Slave Raider CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Slave Raider are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

It's too bad that bad management took it's toll on this band, and after this album we only got 2 more (the last being on a small independant label). Slave Raider deserved to be big stars, and the craftmenship of their sound and songs is still evident today when listening back.

what do they know about rock nroll? NOTHING boring act

From: T-BONE Date: September 15, 2001 at 10:52
Interesting sound to say the least. Kind of a poor man's Twisted Sister of sorts. These guys deserved a better chance and had the talent to do so, but like SirLoren said....poor management. These guys are from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of Minnesota and I used to see them often at the local bars. Very good live shows and Chainsaw Caine is funny as hell. Give this cd a try if you find one.

I saw letitia (the bass player) in another band after Slave Raider. The other band was called touched. After she quit Touched, I heard she went back to Slave Raider. I guess that others in S.R. are in another band called Hair Ball. I have seen this band and they are a riot! They have two singers and they take turns dressing up like 80's bands. G'n'R, Van Halen, Def Leppard, ect.....It's a great show!

Is this a girl band?

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: August 1, 2002 at 21:31
No, just the bass player.

From: David Date: August 2, 2002 at 3:37
Jason, Are they any good?

From: Dee Date: August 9, 2002 at 20:32

The ladie that sings wears an eye patch and cuts things up with a saw! She rocks!

From: ARXONTAS Date: January 11, 2003 at 8:58
If you like lizzy Borden or Twisted Sister with a more slezy feeling this debut album is what you serching for! T-BONE,YOU ARE A VERY LUCKY MAN.I could die to see them live .Its very important to see some groups live cause you can "judge" them with more 'clear' mind,if you get what im trying to say.(i need more education in SLANG,i think l.o.l )10+ on ArxontaS scale...Absolutely No Alternative...

All i have to say is every single song that Slave Raider performed was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: Kissfan Date: November 9, 2003 at 17:42
The big hit here is Make Some Noise. The song was also in some lame movie featuring Corey (Haim?). I Personally like Survival Of The Fittest.

From: Tender88 Date: May 20, 2004 at 23:55

From: Big Papa K Date: June 15, 2004 at 3:38
Just listened to this one for the first time tonight. It was better than I expected. Does remind me of Twisted Sister as others have mentioned. The second half is not very good with the two long tracks being a bit too much for this band to tackle. 5/10

From: Dawn Swanson Date: June 19, 2004 at 22:10

I also grew up with this band. They used to play the New Munich ballroom, to a packed packed crowd everytime. They still are one of my all time favorites. I never get tired of them! Leticia is in a band called "Rare Divine" Check them out! Sheila

All I can say about these guys is I'm glad people out there like it because this was one of my best sales on ebay after I found it for a bargain price. Not my type of hard rock, but it was actually a little better than I expected. Reminded me a bit of the band Vishusgruv, or even YLD. Decent hard rock.

From: mark s. Date: December 18, 2004 at 19:33
they totally rock! this was the band that my friends and i rocked out to on the way to cape cod on every weekend( back in 1988) they still rock!

From: Axe Attack Date: January 22, 2006 at 12:18
Great album and I play these guys from time to time on my weekly metal radio show.

From: 20gunsalute Date: December 20, 2009 at 2:42
This album had the attitude but not the music to match. I kept waiting for this to rock out and it never really did. This came at a time when slick production and commerciality was killing bands, and I see it ate this one alive. Had this been released even a year or so earlier, with a beefed up sound this could have really been something great. I do have to admit that "make some noise" will stay in your head for months after hearing it

From: shoemaker Date: October 10, 2010 at 10:23
Cool album!

From: z4roxx Date: October 20, 2010 at 13:59
This one is very bad.I expected more because their second disc is pretty good.I don't know their third album but the only must release is the second one.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 1, 2011 at 21:17
Yeah..kinda predictable album...not really too intersting... ..best moments could be "Take The World By Storm" which is quite ,"Burnin' Too Hot" rocks,"Long Way From Home" has some kinda catchy chorus & "The Devil Comes Out in Me" an ok track...i think their other releases are far better than this...a matter of tastes...81/100
