| This is one of those borderline bands, but to be honest, they might be better suited for BrutalMetal. Josh Wilbur's production in particular is very "modern metal"-sounding. Anyway, Forged In Fortitude is a little better than the first album, as the band fine-tunes its machine. Heavy, detuned riffs played with southern-rock attitude, strong vocals that get kinda bellowy at times, with some singsong choruses that would be right at home on "active-rock" radio. Like last time, the party wraps up with a yard full of empty cans and a none-too-subtle redneck-sex anthem, "Slam With The Lights On" being this album's "Texas Trim."
