this cd is great, these guys were so much better than all the pretty hair bands that were out from the late 80's to the early 90's, straight forward rock n roll, one of the most popular touring bands in florida, if your in the tampa area, check out greg billings the singer, he now fronts a band named damn the torpedos.

From: Ace Carbo Date: February 22, 2002 at 22:33
This band just plain ROX! If you don't have any of their releases...go get 'em! They call their brand of music "Swamp Rock"! I think it just plain KIX ASS!

From: WidoMakr Date: February 24, 2002 at 17:08
Great call Ace Carbo...these guys can call there music anything they want...they simply rip...amazing that I never heard them back in the day...their music has just enough nastiness to it....great guitar work...pounding drums...all the makings of a great band...why the hell they didnt get alot of radio air time? who the hell knows...quote the WidoMakr....never more

From: TIM Date: May 2, 2002 at 22:08
Glad you like it WidoMakr. I'm planning to buy this cd here shortly when the money comes in. I never heard them in the day either.

From: TIM Date: October 1, 2002 at 16:50
I haven't got this one yet David. Everytime I had money it wasn't on Ebay. When I was broke it showed up. I'll get it eventually though.

Finally got this sucker and it was worth every penny. Great band!

From: TheRipper Date: March 12, 2003 at 3:39
Hell Yeah Tim, these guys rip! I was kinda like that for a while myself with this CD, as I had "No More Dirty" first and really liked it and knew I'd love this release from 1989 too but it took a while for me to finally land (glad I did). Tim what are your fav tunes? I can't make up my mind on a fav between the 2 releases as there are so many good Hard Rock tunes to choose from. These guys Rock (great songwriters too) and they're VERY CONSISTENT so you can't go wrong. 10/10, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

From: TIM Date: March 12, 2003 at 3:46
I think I liked Swamp Woman and No Rules quite a bit. I liked the whole thing and it's a tough call like you said.

From: TIM Date: March 12, 2003 at 3:49
Haven't heard the other one you mentioned but I intend to correct that mistake asap.

From: illimey Date: May 6, 2004 at 19:49
40 bloody dollars for this? Nuts. I sold my copy for ~$5 in 1991. And yeah, it is a good album - I was thinking about trying to find it again... until now. People - no shiny plastic disc with a few tootles on it is worth $40. Unless, of course, I still had my copy! Nuts, I say again. Just checked ebay 'n there's a copy available... no bids yet... it's in the UK... starting price 9.99UKP [~$18]...

Like the rest, I only even heard of these guys about a year ago and was amazed I'd not heard of them before. Check out the killer riffs on 'Wrong side of the tracks' and 'Hit and run'. The ballad 'We were wrong' is outstanding, one of those ones you love but pray you cannot relate to. A very good band - excellent hard rock. Highly recommended. Very competent hard rock.

From: BOLIN44 Date: February 28, 2005 at 3:12
Like most have mentioned, I didn't hear of these guys until WAY later. Criminally Underrated. What the HELL happened?? All there CD's are good, REAL GOOD! Actually, "Angry Dogs", which is not shown on this site yet, is the FINEST HOUR for these guys! Sad news for those who don't know, Guitarist Ronnie Garvin, who IS the SHINNING STAR on these recordings, committed suicide. A real unbelieveable tragedy. These guys blow away most of the "Signed" major label acts of the time. Find'em and Own'em!!

From: Cord Date: February 14, 2006 at 20:25
These guys were GREAT back in the day! I've worn this out on tape about three times. But LIVE is where it was at! Greg used to grab a Budweiser, and everyone in the audience would as well, then the whole club would recite "This is the world famous Budweiser Beer..." As for the album: The opening of Hit and Run is one the best rock guitar riffs ever recorded! To me every song is a hit, but Thunder Bay is in a league of it's own. "I got a one way ticket Southbound 75, OH YEAH!"

From: lalo r.o.c.k. Date: May 15, 2008 at 22:33
Hard rock with AOR bits, killer guitars and catchy songs, they are very underrated, they deserve much more,as well as their music sound in a finest taste, tunes like 3-D,One more night,Hit and run,Swamp woman are the highlights, melodic and great Hard rock, that that blow you away,if you want great -in your face-Hard rock you must pick up this one soon,9/10.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 22, 2013 at 16:01
Exactly!...Hard Rock with AOR bits here and there, especifically the songs "3D" and "One More Night" being this one probably the best song of the release...some other fine moments are tracks 1,2(:cool,7(good rocking instrumental),8,11(rocks!) & 12(rocks!)...a band that really deserved some recognition but has remainded "underground" dunno why, because it had talent back then to compete in the rock world with some other fine bands...85/100

From: hair metal again Date: September 11, 2016 at 2:07
excellent release for the fine STRANGER and a must have in every collection!really dont know why these guys never made it big and why it took me so many years to find them!great hard rock sound ,always in a commercial approach with catchy songs and many hooks is offered here !"mama, mama","wrong side of the tracks","we were wrong","3-D" and "alligator joe" are great songs and overall a classy one
