I liked the songs on this album. the production values are a bit weak. but the songs themselves are very cool. I keep enjoying this band because they don't really fit a predefined mold. They seem to be able to do whatever they want. Ex Q5 members. |

Good stuff. 'The Quest' is like a Dio epic! They refuse to bend to record label ideas of popularity, which is lucky for us. If you liked Q5 you should pick it up |

Oh my gawd is this a bone crunching, monkey bending album or what? This album is so heavy I think that the 'molar mass' must reach infinity! The true gem in the willow spring here is Joel Wiseheart. He must have been dropped from some planet where only bass playing gods live. I think he must have challenged even the greatest of the bass playing gods! OK... maybe laying it on a little thick? Remember - "Go Sore Sarge" is only an anagram of the mild fan. Later - Enjoy the album friends!! |

This is a perfect hard rock album! Dead of Night is also very, very good. Both are must-buys for anyone who likes hard rock. Nightshade must be the most underrated band in the world. Great varity! I had Dead of Night for 12 years and listened to it. Then I was hoping these guys had made some more records, Men Of Iron was the answer. Hopefully another Nightshade release will come in a couple of years. |

This is a truly great metal album if you ever get the chance to see these guys live make the effort. They put on a great show. The Quest is so great live and sometimes you get to hear great Q-5 stuff too! |
