Ambrosia's adventurous yet accessible music was one of the high points of the 70s. If you missed out on them, grab this album, as well as their first, self-titled album. (Later albums, while good, lost much of the band's progressive edge.) Unless you're one of those stuffy types who can't stand a little well composed pop mixed in with your prog, I guarantee you'll be utterly charmed by this talented group.

This is one of those musical adventures that doesn't rely on extreme musicianship, virtuoso, and the like. It is more an example of ambitious creativity, inventiveness, talent and chemistry. So wipe your notions away of this band as a Pop group, and try this cd with open ears and mind, and find out what many progheads missed in the 70's with this band.

Softer than the previous album while still being Progressive Folk in most points; Cowboy Star sounds like it came from a Disney movie with its orchestral part. While I wouldn't call it AOR, Runnin' Away is closer to the Soft Rock sound I like. A lot more Folk than the previous album, as Harvey shows. Danse with Me George is a (bit too) lighthearted tune that shows distance from the darker Progressive sound from the first album. Can't Let A Woman shows a more commercial sound. We Need You To is a great song to end the album. I kinda liked it, not sure if I would listen to it again tho. Rating: 7/10. Favorite Track: Runnin' Away.
