Heavy Harmonies Review | |

Want some hook-laden melodic AOR? Sure you do. This album pretty much came out of nowhere, and oh what a surprise! It's keyboard-driven melodic rock with crunchy guitars and powerful choruses. Take the keyboard leads from Europe's Final Countdown and combine them with strong German hard rock like Fair Warning or Bonfire, and that will give you a taste of what the band sounds like. Interestingly enough, it's not on one of the usual European AOR/hard rock labels. They'll be crying in their beer that they didn't snap this one up... Good Life Records was smart enough not to let this band pass by. The music is tight and well executed; the production top notch. The only possible detraction to some people is that the lead singer has a VERY heavy German accent, but if that doesn't bother you (as it doesn't me), this is must-have material! The track sung in Malaysian (not sure what the actual language would be) is even quite good. This disc is, and should be, HUGE! One of the major AOR online retailers is refusing to carry the disc because "it sounds too German". Yo, DUMBASS! Put your biases away already. This is first rate AOR. For the rest of you without prejudice, give the samples above a spin and then head on over to Schmankerl Records and buy this disc! Album of the year contender for sure! Rating: 94/100 |

These guys rock pretty hard - very much in that German hard rock style. The vocals are in that European higher pitch style that classic rockers like Fate used to use. And that is a good comparison to the whole musical style of this release. This is good solid melodic heavy rock in a very European style. There's a wave of keyboard and synthesizers in each track, plus your lead guitar riffs all supporting strong harmonies and the lead vocal. That as I said, is in the upper range of pitches. |

Haven´t heard all tracks from this one, but I´m gonna buy it ASAP. Awesome keyboards!! Germany knows how to rock! |

Very good album. They remind me a lot of bands like Europe, Shy or Treat but played in German style (like Bonfire, early Fair Warning,...), with bombastic sound and choruses. "Rock me" and the title track are my favorites. |

If you like Tokio you will love this. I hate to say it but I personally thought this was awful. Some of the worst lyrics I have ever heard in my life, an huge overabundance of keyboards and IMO poor attempts at hooks and choruses. Some decent musical peices when they give those awful keyboards a rest, but to me this sounds like a band trying to be 'Final Countdown'-era Europe and failing to hit the mark... or even come close. |

Yeahhhh, Si, mis expectativas fueron acertadas, un tremendo album AOR/Melodic Rock a lo Scandinavo, tremendos temazos DEMOLEDORES Believe It(tal vez la mejor) Rock Me(muy a lo Europe algo como el tema Final Countdown), Stay Young, Pray for the World, Living in Paradise, Magna Quaedam Spectare que se fuciona con Gimme a Try Una Joya que no deben dejar de escuchar, de lo mejor de ese año y de Alemania. Teclados Magicos, Buenas Guitarras, bateria contundente y un gran cantante. |
