This is keyboard oriented stuff! One of the best records from Holland...Rare now...Svandinavia sounding like Treat... A sure buy!

From: Barthezz Date: November 7, 2001 at 13:08
What an awesome album!! I love this guys and it's too bad they don't excist anymore. I'm from Holland myself, and this band is the best Dutch band ever!! Love all the songs on this album and on their debut-record. On this album, I like TOO BLIND TOO SEE and THERE SHE WAS the most. But all the other songs KICK ASS TOO!!

From: koogles Date: January 1, 2002 at 17:29
A genuine cult classic and AOR enough to keep even the most discriminating melodic fan happy. Robby Valentine's involvement makes this a must for all RV completists. Recommended!

From: tomcat Date: January 20, 2002 at 16:24
a huge step forward from the debutcd..this cd could easily have been the next 'slippery when wet' unfortunatly...

From: outofthesilence Date: May 17, 2002 at 22:02
WOW! How in the world did this get overlooked until now? Melodic rock and AOR at its absolute best! The melodies are unforgettable, and the musicianship is far superior to many other bands who were commercially successful. Just take a listen to 'There She Was' and 'Candyman' which would have been major hits in the States. 'Love Never Dies' is one of the best power ballads I've heard. 'Only Your Heart' is yet another hard rock gem from this rare release. Hey, all 12 tracks are great!

From: 9CHAMPIONS Date: June 2, 2002 at 10:52
Fabuloso Hard Rock melodico, onda escandinava, muchos teclados y temas muy pegadizos.

From: Alejandro Date: June 14, 2002 at 20:35
It's surely one of the best albums I've ever heard of its kind. Hard rock, lots of keyboards, and very sticky vocals and riffs. I enjoy it very much, and it's a pity it's been removed from catalogue. Highly recommended, especially 'Take it to the top', 'Unknown skies' and 'Jekyll and Hyde'.

From: Mac Date: August 28, 2002 at 0:17
I've accidentaly found this CD while in Japan trip...One of the best soft tunes I've heard ever! Would someone like to get these songs in mp3 format, write to: agotsu@hotmail.com

From: nitrodoll Date: August 28, 2002 at 2:30
they've grown as songwriters since their debut and it shows here the progress they've made.. i don't believe that there any songs on this album i didn't like...i remember singing along to tunes like 'candyman','there she was', and 'only your heart'..one of the best cds that ever came from holland together with sleeze beez ofcourse.. nitrodoll1974@hotmail.com

From: dreamtheater3 Date: September 3, 2002 at 23:24
Just happened across this one. An absolute gem! If you like Giuffria's Silk & Steel album, you will LOVE this one!

From: Ed Date: March 19, 2003 at 22:30
You should all listen to Joss's new band Mennen. They already have 4 albums out.

From: robert Date: April 9, 2003 at 15:13
muy comercial y pegadizo, con grandes temazos, toda una joyita para no perdersela... altamente recomendado!!

From: Neil Date: April 28, 2003 at 20:55
Paul Laine wrote some of these toons!!

From: Teo_3 Date: June 6, 2003 at 20:16
What can be said for this record, one of the best ever maybe? For me certainly, this is a true classic record alongside Red Dawn,Tour De Force and Rox Diamond.Simply every song a huge hit with 4 of them been written by Paul Laine (tracks 2,3,9,10).'Two Sides Of Love' can be found on Paul Laine's 2nd album and it's the biggest hit.Excellent work from Robby Valentine of course.Expensive maybe, worth it DEFINITELY.

From: cruise Date: September 15, 2003 at 8:23
Better than the debut with some much better songwriting. A pretty good AOR album 7/10

From: Scandi Date: October 14, 2003 at 20:24
Let me take your time for a little survey: Which's better - This one or Robby's first solo CD??? This is very serious meant cos I dunno which to buy (both are too expensive)

From: Rycheage Date: February 8, 2004 at 16:41
Quite literally there are some amazing songs onboard here, where Rerimassie's full frontal guitar is tempered by the synth blanket laid down by Valentine, while Mennen's voice though a little out of control at times powers in over the top. A regular playlist of Zinatra songs would include the Paul Laine penned and keyboard dominant 'Take It To The Top', 'Two Sides Of Love' and 'Only Your Heart' while the delicately arranged 'There She Was' climaxes with a memorable chorus.

From: jessica96fish Date: March 2, 2004 at 17:10

This CD has been re-issued and is available at AOR Heaven.Great album if you like Robby Valentine.

From: Gazzman Date: April 5, 2004 at 13:00
An excellent melodic hard rock trip beetween great keyboards, good guitars and a convicted vocalist. The magic touch of RObbie Valentine give to this LP that little spell that makes it special. It's european hard rock but with an american inspiration. 'Take it to the top' and 'Only your herat are fast-driving car anthems!! PLEASUREPRINCIPLE@hotmail.com

From: Rockhead Date: May 4, 2004 at 5:12
What was the singer Convicted of? Did he go to jail?

From: AOR freaky Date: May 6, 2004 at 7:55
H' boys and girls, don't you think this one is a bit (and I put it simple) overrated ? ! Think so ! Average AOR !!! Lots of keys, I agree, but the songs ? ! Hmm..., not sure they're that good !

From: Paolo Date: May 7, 2004 at 5:44
One of premiere european aor albums of all time!! No good songs here??! Take it to the top, Two sides of love, Only your heart, There she was, Candyman, Hold on...i think it's enough.

From: Adrian Date: May 12, 2004 at 17:18

WOW, I just listened to this cd .The production and mix are top notch.Right from the first song you are hooked ,from the guitars of Gino ,the keys of Robbie ,and the voice of Joss Mennen .Let me say this cd just stands out as one of the best AOR cds I ever listen to .Most of the time I have to listen to a cd three or four times before I can figure out what I think of it ,not with this one .This cd just grab me and took me for a rocking ride .If you get a chance go to NEHrecords.com ,you will be

From: micky Date: June 6, 2004 at 6:53
AWESOME ALBUM.De lo mejor del hard aor europeo que tengo grandes coros y la mano magica de robbie, aorfrikie quitate lo de aor y quedate lo de frikie, robert nos vemos en el house of lords, cuidate.

From: TIM (2) Date: June 21, 2004 at 10:27
Dear AOR Freaky, this is not overrated as it's pure class. A giant leap forward from their debut, this is better produced and light-years ahead in terms of song-writing. Very reminicent of 1st Avenue's debut 'Tears and Triumph', is a shame Joss Mennen ditched AOR for mediocre hard rock after this though. If you like this check out all of Robby's solo albums, the man's a genius...

From: Bill Date: August 9, 2004 at 12:30
Killer 80's melodic rock, IMO the european answer to BON JOVI's Slippery When Wet. Agree with TIM, Robby Valentine is a genius, I've just recently found his solo albums through ebay and it's hard to believe he isn't in the same league with BON JOVI saleswise.

From: Geoff Date: August 16, 2004 at 2:28
This is so good I could eat it! The debut lost me, but this regained me. Great commercial melodic hard rock. 'Too blind to see' and 'Only your heart', I think, are my favourites of a wonderful batch of songs. Yes, I really like this brilliant slab of melodic hard rock! 8.5/10

From: Kip Date: August 26, 2004 at 15:45
Great CD! Not much more to add to what they said. Standout tracks are There She Was, Hold On, Love Never Dies, Candyman, Take It To The Top and Only Your Heart. Well, well worth buying. But then again so is everything Robbie Valentine or Paul Laine touch.

From: paul rock Date: August 28, 2004 at 16:38
I listened a lot to this album about the time it was released. It's great melodic pop rock whith a slik edge. I recently bougt the re-issue because i lost the first one and i must say it's still one of the best rock albums evre released from a dutch band.

From: DR DOM Date: October 8, 2004 at 19:48
This band is just HORRIBLE. Major Thumbs down

From: Zinatra99gt Date: November 3, 2004 at 9:49
Alright I will be honest. Anybody that has this cd better hold on to it for dear life. This one of the best cds, I have ever given my ears the pleasure to listen to. I popped this thing in a work one night, and I never stopped listening to it. You will not fall asleep at all with this cd. The vocals are awesome, along with the keyboards. Production is good. Even the ballads are grooving. Robby Valentine, and Ross Mennon shine. To sum it all up, GET THIS RELEASE. Your ears will thank u.

From: Erik Date: December 30, 2004 at 7:15
They sure did Take it to the Top. Brilliant album. Always catchy and with a slick production. Far better IMO as Robbys solo stuff. Which for me was Over the Top. Anyways. Get a copy of this keyboard driven and 'hooks that will last with you for always'album. Awesome !

From: Kain McCabe Date: February 14, 2005 at 9:38
An absloute incredible release. Not a bad song on this CD. There She Was and Too Blind To See are two of the best AOR songs made! If you like music thats upbeat, catchy and gets you in a good mood then this gem should not be overlooked.

From: z4roxx Date: February 15, 2005 at 9:14
I have the Zinatra logo on my cellular since 4 years!!I am a huge fan of these guys, perfect melodies, great vox,R.Valentine a super God!!Maybe the last thing I don't appreciate is the production, not at the top as their songs,IMO.What a shame....

From: ArnoldLancelot Date: April 3, 2005 at 1:25
You can feel inmediately the difference between the first one since fron track one!! Our beloved Robbie makes it from great to a MUST HAVE!! Keys, keys, keys!!!!! Scandi aor by the numbers with Mr Valentine striking out very big.

From: Aorforever Date: July 28, 2006 at 10:20
Super album is dit natuurlijk! Jammer dat het niet echt bekend is geweest in Nederland. ''Love Never Dies'' een super ballad! En ''Take It To The Top'' is een lekkere aor song (Y)!!

From: Chris_GR_Aor Date: August 18, 2006 at 10:54
A million miles forward than their debut..with the magic touch of the big Paul Laine who writes 2,3,9,10 tracks of the album which are awesome.A masterpiece AOR album with excellent keys and guitars.... 'Two sides of love' & 'Hold on' are heaven.....10/10

From: metalhead4life Date: November 7, 2006 at 23:06
Just picked up this one (original 1990 Mercury records) and glad I did. Fans of Bon Jovi, Autograph, Treat, etc. will like this. This is one to own for 80's rockers; up there with your mainstream favorites. Plenty of catchy songs and choruses, hooks, keyboards, guitar, rockin' melodies, and every song is good. There She Was is probably my favorite at the moment. Least favorite song would have to be Candyman. Good to see them quicken up the pace with Unknown Skies and Jeckyll and Hide. 8.75/10

From: newscandi Date: January 13, 2007 at 14:09
After a long while I finally tried this out due to good comments here --and I have to say it's that great. ZINATRA sound a lot like EUROPE at FINAL COUNTDOWN times or a bit DA VINCI => So it's totally scandi rock alike. Even the voice reminds me of the one from Tempest or other scandi ones. And of course it's also quite equally to 1st AVENUE's deput (Listen to the intro). My favourites here are 'TAKE IT TO THE TOP' and 'THERE SHE WAS'. 9/10

From: newscandi Date: January 13, 2007 at 14:10
..JEKYLL AND HYDE is the 3rd favourite sounding more like MADISON.

From: Mustaine_TW Date: January 23, 2007 at 11:43
someone has uploaded Zinatra's video 'There She Was' to YouTube, check this out!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pacnnaCVZw

From: z4roxx Date: January 28, 2007 at 12:19
I've already seen that video(Nippon phonogram concession)but where is Robbie??Not a single photogram with him,what a shame!!!!!!!

Zinatra!! Super Super... mi preferido 1000/1000

From: KurtmanJP Date: June 29, 2008 at 2:42
Sounds like across between Treat and 1st Avenue. 'Take It To The Top' is especially a killer song. Great stuff!

From: DEEMON Date: January 4, 2009 at 23:29
GREAT CD.REMEMBER EUROPE,TREAT,RETURN(NORWAY)um dos melhores discos de aor que j' ouvi.brilliant.100/100.deemon from s'o paulo.

From: BIG-TIME Date: June 8, 2009 at 20:15
To me this is Scandi but bad Scandi rock! only good tune here is take it to the top... The first track turned me off, track 2 gave it some life and hope for the rest of the album but it just left me cold. If like me you like a good tune stay away, if your into the scandi thing then get it, for me it's in the collection and will be forgotten about... KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: February 10, 2011 at 21:21
Fascinating album..AOR with plenty of keys & melodies..."Take It To The Top" is a brilliant song, love it!,"Two Sides Of Love" follows the same pattern,"Unknown Skies" rocks pretty good,"Too Blind To See" is an excellent semi smooth track,"Only Your Heart" also a goodie one & "Let It Go"(a bonus track) is another fine rocking song...in general lines if you like good catchy melodies backed up with a good singer then try this Zinatra effort...you won't be dissapointed...93/100

From: juan carlos Date: February 10, 2011 at 22:39
