Like so many releases, this CD packs all of its punch in its first three songs. 'White Heat', 'Crazy For You' and 'Rollin With the Thunder' are all amazing, heavy duty AOR anthems, but after that, it's all filler no killer. Fans of Def Leppard or Wall of Silence may enjoy the first three tracks enough to justify owning the whole thing.

This is a very good hard rock album of typically high quality canadian AOR. A decent production and catchy songs make this fairly generic release well worth owning. 7.5/10

This is a good AOR album! For me they sounds like a mix of BB STEAL,GLASS TIGER and PSUEDO ECHO 'Race' I think!.My favourite songs are White Heat,Crazy For You and When You're Gone.

pretty good aor but not brilliant!.soundwise they remind me very much of honeymoon suite minus the quality.i do like this album but somehow i get the feeling that for many people this is going to be a little hard to diggest(if you know what i mean).

Koogles, you don't like 'When you're gone'? I agree that the first three are deadset gems (How good is 'Crazy for you'!) but I wouldn't say the rest are all fillers. 'When you're gone', I feel is one of the album highlights and a wonderful song. Overall great stuff and I find myself reminded of 'Take me back' by Noiseworks when I hear the album. Don't ask me why, but either way I really quite like this CD in it's entirety. Probably my favourite album title too.

If you love late 80's hard rock like me you simply gotta have this album, it's not the best cd of all time but they just don't make'em like they used too!! The song: When You're Gone is outstanding!!

'Listen Closely' has got to be one of the best songs ever written! This is melodic AOR at it's best! 'Crazy for You' is another gem. WOW! Why weren't these guys turned into rock stars? Oh, I know. It was because of those damn grunge bands again. Shame

I always enjoyed this CD. Bought it on cassette when it first came out. Got a new copy on CD a few years ago and I still really enjoy it. I think I'm gonna have to dig out my copy for a re-listen.

From: Delbert Date: January 18, 2010 at 13:07
This is AOR/melodic hard rock in the BON JOVI and JOURNEY school of rock. I can also hear some commercial hard rock in the vein of BRIGHTON ROCK and WALL OF SILENCE. Nothing spectacular, but still enjoyable IMO.

very good release for WHITE HEAT back in 89 with their sound being somewhere between hard rock & pop rock!especially the vocals are not in the classic hard rockvein !the songs are excellent and "white heat",'crazy for you " and "when you re gone" the highlights!recommended
