Angel is one of those classic nostalgic bands that seems to not compromise who they are, and not try to reinvent themselves for the sake of blending in with the sign of the times, or even modernizing themselves to fit the current state of the music scene. Angel knows who exactly they are...and they are not going to shy away from who they are, were and are going to continue to be. Angel is a band that isn't for everyone - their music is classic 70's pomp/glam/arean style AOR rock, which is what made them who they are - and paved the way for so many bands following. The album "Once Upon A Time", surely makes that statement, and succeeds well. They are writing and producing songs that continues their sonic identity and sound from 45-50 years ago, and allows people to enjoy who Angel is. Their lyrics are nothing groundbreaking, or contains some huge or deeper message, etc. It is just fun, good ol fashion rock n roll. At 14 tracks, be glad Angel is still around. 86/100.
