Temporary Message Board Closure
The company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that
would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling
to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different
platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content
(posts, user profiles, etc.).
However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere
from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated.
While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some
long-term savings.
The current message board will be closed down at some point this
Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are
reading this), will NOT be affected.

| This is Satriani's band before he went solo and even includes later Satriani stalwart Jeff Capitelli on drums. This is more than a mere novelty however: I did not expect this album to be this good. It's easy to tell that this is early Satriani and a lot of his style can be found on his later solo albums. Regarding the music itself, I like all the songs and can easily listen to the whole thing. The power pop style is definitely there and there are similarities with Cheap Trick and Enuff Z'Nuff. Favourites are So Used Up (very catchy), You Can Light The Way (very melodic), Follow That Heart (super vocals and guitar by Satriani) and I Love How You Love Me (super solo). If you're a fan of Satriani, you can't go wrong with this and you won't be disappointed.

| I stumbled on this the other day. It's a good album, has a little bit of everything. At times, a new wave vibe to it, the band name for one thing, then kinda prog rock, a few slower songs, and overarching it all is this great guitar playing, and then you see it's Satch, and you go, "oh okay, makes sense." Worth a few spins, IMO.
