The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Sweet Oblivion CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Sweet Oblivion are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Would be good to know what others think of this before handing over my cold, hard cash. I got their first album a few years ago and thought it was OK. I thought it was going to be one of those single-release manufactured Frontiers groups, but apparently not.

Auslander, check out the one minute samples of each song above. I personally think this is the best thing Tate’s done since back around Queensryche’s Operation Mindcrime: II, and definitely better than the first Sweet Oblivion release... but that’s just me. 😉

I eventually got this album. I do enjoy it. Not enough for it to sneak into my top ten of 2021. But, I will say this, and I know it is a controversial opinion: the two Sweet Oblivion albums are both better and more enjoyable than anything Queensryche 2.0 has released. Geoff Tate and Queensryche are just better together. This album though, on its own merits, would have done with a little more variety in sound, plus some more "hooks". It is expertly played and Tate is on fire vocally, but it just misses that Je ne sais quoi that makes a record stand out. Another Change is the best track followed by the Italian language Aria. Grade B.

If you love a mix of proggressive/melodic music this one is definitely for you.
