| never listened to much private life - Danny Johnson is a friend of mine from Shreveport Louisiana - his own music is great - he usually sings and plays guitar on all his recordings. he appears on derringer sweet evil, rod stewart tonight i'm yours, alice cooper special forces...the list goes on and on...If you know Danny you know what i'm talking about-almost replaced Joe Perry in Aerosmith....Danny's a really nice guy-(sorry danny) now with steppenwolf - One of the best guitarists in rock, real

| This seems like a lite reincarnation of the first Vixen CD. A couple of good tunes and that's about all she wrote folks. The cover of Van Morrison's "Domino" could've been left off. "Holiday" is a real good ballad though and basically saves me from having to sell it.

| After the excellent 'Shadows' album a couple of years before, this was a bit of a 'Clunker' and left me really disappointed. In comparison, the songs just aren't there this time and apart from the excellent 'Holiday' and the overall sound of the disc, I'll pass thankyou very much.

| Got to agree with the last couple of reviews. This is a bit useless. Agree 'Holiday' is a nice tune, but 'Cure for love' is even better and easily the highlight of the album. But to wait to the last 2 tracks of the album to put your best tracks-bad move. It's a bad enough move to record so much average rock and I found myself asking if there was really a need to have this recorded. No offense meant, but there are a million more worthy unreleased albums that this. Not awful, but entirely missable

| I haven't heard they're Shadows album (heard it's better) but this one is average. Like some of Heart's lighter stuff. Seeing that Eddie Van Halen produced this, I expected a little more. I'll check out they're first release based on other good comments.

| Their debut album was a blast of AOR and Melodic Rock...this one showed us a change of direction into a harder side so of course comparing this effort with their debut one makes this kinda dull release but far from average...this is quite a decent album but as i said miles away from their debut.The album opens with a Saraya kind of song "Touch Me" then the second track "Domino" shows some hints of their first album,"Communication" has a bluesy feel and "Night All Night" is a straight R'n'R,"Nothing To Loose" is a nice ballad,"Give It Up is a cool song and the best track at least 4 me is the closing song "Cure For Love" which conserves the flavour of that catchy AOR sound of their debut...anyway not in the same line of music as before but worth 2 check it out.88/100

| very good release for PRIVATE LIFE with excellent ,sound,production,musicianship and great vocals indeed!the HEART comparison is reasonable and if you dig female vocals i m sure you gonna be satisfied!"give it up","nothin to lose", and "holiday" are the standout songs of a release that needed 1 or 2 hits to be complete
