Cranked up during WSOU days. I just finally found/bought this new. Am cranking right now and then it's American Angel time. Feelin' like I'm 18 again. Life..is good! :-)

From: Rycheage Date: September 3, 2001 at 17:57
Excellent guitar driven rock from one of the lesser known bands from the Hair Band days. I would put them on par with XYZ and Dokken. 'So Hard' is the awesome song from this album. This rocks!! Get it!!

From: T.Cass Date: November 27, 2001 at 16:24
This was okay but there 2nd cd Simple was the real deal. I have heard a couple of cuts off there most recent and it's not as good.

From: Rich Date: May 26, 2002 at 21:10
The drummer, Tony, lived aroud the block from me. I can remember seeing these guys play every year at the local 4th of July party. Wish they were still putting out new stuff.

From: Roscoe Date: November 19, 2002 at 10:58
Are they selling stocks on Wall Street for Quaker Oats?

From: TIM Date: January 23, 2003 at 18:48
Anyone heard 'China Sky' by these guys? What a song.

From: Blue Charvel Date: January 24, 2003 at 13:04
Hell yeah, that's a great tune. I have a bunch of stuff I came across on WinMX a ways back that's more in the vein of China Sky. I like America's New Design, but this other stuff has a lot more presence.

From: TIM Date: January 29, 2003 at 5:01
Thanks Blue Charvel. I need to get some more from these guys.

From: kanji Date: February 10, 2003 at 20:53

From: TIM Date: February 11, 2003 at 2:48

I loved this band back and saw them at Englewood Cliffs. Would love to see them again. Any tour info?

From: george Date: May 8, 2003 at 14:49
i've been a fan since seeing them at the Goalpost in Fanwood in like...86 or 87 when Irene was the bass player. These Cranford guys rock. What's going on with them anyway? Is Joey still selling computer gear or software or something like that?

Been looking for 10 years for this cd! WSOU used to play almost EVERY cut from this CD back in the day... gonna play it till I'm sick of it, then play it 100 more times just to make sure I never forget it! I remeber seeing these guys all over the tri-state area. As good as the cd is, live was better!

From: cruise Date: September 15, 2003 at 16:58
A reasonable album that sounds like it could have been so much better with some better vocals and a decent production job. Some nice songs but none of them sound like they were recorded with any real conviction. Still, not bad. 6/10

From: purrfect-kat Date: October 8, 2003 at 1:14
I never took a liking to this entire cd but I do think there are a couple good songs such as 'On and On'

From: justaphan Date: November 5, 2003 at 15:37
So..... I've heard thru the grapevine that they're planning a show @ the Cup in Linden on 12-20. I'd be sooooooo stoked to see them play again!

From: Myke Gope Date: November 24, 2003 at 10:14

From: gener8tr Date: June 28, 2004 at 12:36
Combine the best of Mr. Big and Telsla with a touch of Dokken and the attitude of Ratt and you have Xenon. I've owed this CD for many years and never paid it much attention until this past weekend... I forgot just how good it is. TIP OF MY FINGERS is better than 900f the tunes that dominated MTV in the late 80's. The orignal 1989 pressing is VERY difficult to obtain, but the 1995 Long Island Records reissue can be had for a nominal price. Worth every cent, however!

From: Geoff Date: August 16, 2004 at 2:59
I really like 'So hard' off this one and I, like others here, love that 'China sky' song, but aside from that the rest don't really do it for me. Standard hard rock - not great, certainly not bad. Just average hard rock, IMO.

From: Date: October 18, 2004 at 15:33
saw you in s. orange with push 1988?

From: AL Date: November 4, 2004 at 14:12
IF ANYBODY HAS THIS CD COULD YOU PLEASE PUT ' TIP OF MY FINGERS ' ON LIME WIRE . THESE GUYS ROCKED ME IN 89 AND I LOST MY TAPE , I'VE SEARCHING FOR THIS CD FOR A LONG TIME. THANKS

From: Nick C Date: November 4, 2004 at 14:34
Hey AL, you can get the CD from the bands website at http://www.xenononline.com Hope this helps

From: EmptyArms Date: December 18, 2004 at 13:17

From: Scandinavia Date: December 18, 2004 at 14:20
Yes, and so it says in the lineup description above...

From: bugaloo Date: April 20, 2005 at 12:55
hey... they're playing on 4-30-05 @ Double D's in Morristown NJ w/ American Angel..... great rock & strippers!! I'm there!

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: January 5, 2007 at 7:39
Good album but not Great, asi de simple esta banda esta en algo e ciertos temas se parecen a Danger Danger en otros a Trixter otros a Harem Scarem pero no al nivel de estos quiza a los Trixter la verdad los escuche hace tiempo y no les tome mucha importancia ahora que veo lo escrito por Cliffhanger bueno le di su escucha asi que buen album pero nada mas 8/10 tiene sus temas y su estilo algo peculiar.

From: andi Date: December 25, 2010 at 11:52
YOU NEED XENON TO Life more than your friend girl??You must be physical ill!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: December 29, 2010 at 19:28
Wow pretty recommendable album IMHO...what i like about this act is the voice of Joey Fiamingo and that lovely lady who plays the bass in here named Irene Wohlman ...this band still plays around the american circuit nowadays...the songs i liked the best were "Tip Of My Fingers","A Night To Remmenber" & "Cry In The Night"..."So Hard","Safe(Till The Morning)"On & On"(nice track)& "Holding On"(a song that rocks)are also worth...88/100

From: hair metal again Date: January 22, 2011 at 1:10
very good hard rock release from new jersey territory nack in the mid 80 s.XENON have great musicianship, certain personality, remarkable songwriting, nice vibe but their only problem was that they didnt have any feel good rockin songs .i guess hard rock music must be full of these.if you dont mind that XENON s debut is a must have with excellent songs like "so hard","maybe","on and on" and "through the rain"
