I bought this album on the strength of Rob Wyldes current band, Midnite City releasing easily one of the best albums of 2017 (despite not really liking his album with Tigertailz). Despite the descriptions some gave of it being "pop punk", I do not really hear that. There is a little bit of Butch Walker-esque stuff in here, and some stuff that sounds like modern day Trixter, but over all a lot of the album sounds not a million miles away from Midnite City. Some songs are a little faster paced, and there is not so much keyboards for sure, but I can easily see this appealing to Midnite City fans no doubt. Favourite songs on this would be Don't look at me like that, Best friend is my radio and the awesome ballade, Believe in you.
