This one flew under most people's radar last year with limited promotion as I finally got around to giving this double cd a listen. ‘Voices From the Past’ was stashed away for years in boxes of DATs,reel-to-reels, hard drives, cassettes in Waldo’s garage. They where dusted off and remastered by JK Northrup. Rosen and Waldo who was a member in a hand full of second tier bands (New England, Alcatrazz) teamed up as a writer duo for other AOR/HR artists back in the 80's heyday. It's hit and miss as I dug the JSS track and wished he had a couple more songs, and on the other side of the coin I wished for less tracks by Mona Moore ( Is that Traci Lords old stage name?) Ain't No Honor) Among Thieves Billy Trudell reminds me a bit of John Elefante's voice. Steve Plunkett (Autograph) has a pretty good couple tracks.'The Other Side' Jamie St. James ( Black N Blue) ain't bad either. This release could be cut down to one album to sift out the obscure gems during this slice of time. Worth a listen.
