The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. This is my favorite REO album. It is good song to song. Back on the road again is a classic tune.

From: Phil Date: October 6, 2003 at 18:50
This is the last album REO recorded before they turned into a bunch of pussies. Great guitar solos on Easy Money, Only The Strong Survive and Meet Me on the Mountain. Rock and Roll Music is a cover of the old Chuck Berry tune, and Richrath does it up in style. Take Me is a egotistical rant by Cronin, which is a foreboding of what's to come with this band. "I could be dancing on the ocean. I could be singing to the sea. But I am poetry in motion. I'm yours, people. Take me." GAG ME, CRONIN!!!

I agree with Phil! If their career was an LP, everything from here on back would be the "Rockin' Side", while everything after this would be their "Wimp Side"... Just another example of a once promising "Rock Band" succumbing to the Record Label pressures of creating another "hit single"...I loved the early stuff, but anything after this just GAGS me! No wonder Richrath left the band just a few releases after this!

By far their best album ! Good songs ! The rest of Reo is not that good. An overrated band by miles, but this is a good one !

From: Gar Date: December 16, 2003 at 19:56
What you talkin bout, Freddy?! This is one of REO's more mediocre releases. It's got maybe 3 good songs and the rest are filler. They had much better albums than this.

Are you serious Gar ? Tell which one is better (Hi Infidelity ?). The others s. . .k big way, I think. But if you think otherwise, that's your freedom ! Average band, I can't repeat this enough !

From: Gar Date: December 19, 2003 at 1:13
Well, yeah "Hi Infidelity" is better. But I think their best albums were "REO TWO" & "You Can Tune a Piano..." Most of their albums are kinda hit or miss, but there's usually enough quality material to make them worthwhile. In my opinion, "9 Lives" & "Life As We Know It" were their weakest efforts. Maybe they are just an average band, but they did provide us with a few gems along the way.

To this day I can't listen to anything from "Hi Infidelity" on and cringe at the wimpiness factor but to this day this album still does it for me. From the opening riff on "Heavy On Your Love" till the end of the disc the air guitar comes out every time. This along with "You Can Tune..." are my favorite REO albums. It's not that I hate latter day REO it's just they basically became Chicago without the horns after this release. If a release could be labeled "hard rock" by these guys it's this

This is a great album form back in the day. A definate summer Cd to listen to in the garden with a few beers!! Choc full of classic songs my favourite is Back on the Road-a monster song that brings back fond memories of times 20+ years ago.

From: Propane Date: December 3, 2004 at 9:50
This one is a great addition to the collection. Air guitar afficianados will keep playing this one over and over again.

'Back on the Road Again' - bloody marvellous is all I can say. Just buy and enjoy...driving melodic hard rock at its best.

From: Remastered Reason Date: February 3, 2009 at 22:06
As a whole, this album uncovers & releases that punch of energy that the band had bottled up on most of their previous albums. Mostly, a high octane boogie set that pretty much rocks as hard as the band ever had & would in the future. Agree, that no REO album is a complete classic of their genre from start to finish but there are enough moments on each record to call great. In particular, "Back on the Road Again" is the quality tune here.

Good rocking album by REO!!!..."Heavy On Your Love","Drop It","Take Me","Meet Me On The Mountain" & "Back On The Road Again"(the best cut for me)are songs that you'll love surely...recommended...85/100

Best REO release by a long way. Great album and a rockin one too.

From: bmoviecritic Date: August 5, 2019 at 2:32
I Need You Tonight is super cheesy, but the rest of the record is more aggressive than they've been and that is a good thing, Bruce Hall delivers a vocal on a song that has become a radio staple, the rest of the songs are memorable but they have been lost to time.
