A few great songs but a tough act to follow, they toured too much and ran out of songwriting time for this one and a few songs show that. Worth owning but as you can see none of these songs are on their greatest hits compilations.

From: Phil Date: October 6, 2003 at 23:15
None of these songs are on REO's greatest hits compilations because those compilations are controlled by Kevin Cronin and Sony Music Products. This is a GREAT album, which Cronin admits he hasn't listened to in more than 20 years. Just because he's consumed by anger and jealousy doesn't mean the fans have to be. Standouts on this album are ALL Gary Richrath songs like Every Now And Then, I'll Follow You, Back In My Heart and Stillness Of The Night.

This one was just as good as any other but got buried in the shuffle. I like this as much as the last, personally.

"Keep the fire burning" by far the best track of the album and a great opener. The rest is ok too.Didn't know about Kevin's attitude though (according to Phil).anyway for Reo's fans only.

I really don't know why this one is concidered worse than HI-INFI . It easily matches the previous one if it's not even better.

Very underrated album. Hi - Infidelity had the hits but this for me still stands the test of time. Classic

excellent release by REO SPEEDWAGON and probably their best in my book!more guitar oriented and for me the highlight is mr Richrath that shines in this one!a must have for everyone

Considered a flop, swept under the rug but the album has some strong tracks, the rest of the album is pleasant, not really filler but not exactly killer. A rushed effort to continue touring, Gary's guitar was not lively here as it had been and there were rumours at this stage it was hard to get him to show up on time or at all for sessions. Still a good album.

'I'll follow you" is one of their best ever songs, "Back in my heart again" is catchy as hell, "Girl with the heart of gold" is another great Bruce Hall tune & "Stillness of the night" is decent. The only tune written by Cronin that floats my boat is "The key", the rest of his songs on this album are pretty mediocre. Luckily the Richrath & Hall tracks carry the album to be a mostly enjoyable listen
