Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

This band released two cool records back in the 80s. At the beginning they were part of the NWOBHM and their first album sound a lot like that. On their second album they chanced into melodic hard rock. This album have songs re-recorded and some new songs. Any fan of HARD ROCK with cool melodies will love this. |

This is for the most part a blazing comeback! The actual newer pieces are equally as listenable. If Saracen chose to pursue more intently the savageness of the title track, then future releases might contain the bite of the 80's selections. But the proof is present that Saracen are capable of turning their hands to any style, whether it metal, pomp or AOR. As a result fans of any of those styles might find some worth in 'Red Sky'. |

Escape music just re-released this one, together with "Heroes, saints & fools". The original release was quite hard to find, so now you have the chance to get it for a reasonable price. Solid melodic rock 8/10 |

This one didnīt impress me much. But I miss their latest album "Vox in Exelso" here on this page??? A great album with only a few outstanding tracks but with a deep atmosphere. |
