If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Affair CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Affair are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Heavy Harmonies Review
From: Dan Date: March 17, 2003 at 0:24
"Gute Musik, Jah?" You betcha! More German melodic hard rock. Just what the doctor ordered! You know, you really can not get too much of this stuff. The lead vocalist came from Mystery, the keyboard player, from Bonfire. How can you miss? I think this effort is slightly heavier than those two bands, yet retains a very melodic nature. This doesn't venture far from the formula used by most German hard rock bands we're familiar with (Fair Warning, Axxis, Bonfire, etc.), which is a good thing. At times Peter's voice takes on a bit of a classic rock tinge (Deep Purple or John West from Artension) especially in the upper register; it adds some unique characteristics to the songs. Acoustic guitars and prolific keyboards embellish some serious guitar riffs. The hooks are everpresent, and the choruses are quite strong!

This is definitely not your grandmother's melodic rock, as it has a tendency to rock out every now and then. As you listen to the album, you never find yourself getting into a rut. The song selection is quite varied tempo-wise, so you get quite a nice blend of ballads, mid-tempo tracks, and rockers. One small nit to pick (and it's a minor one): at times the backing vocals could be a little louder in the mix; on a couple of occasions they disappear a bit. That's it. My only complaint. If you are a fan of melodic German hard rock, you definitely want to make this an addition to your collection!!

I like this album. Also i think that PAUL DE WINT was great with OSTROGOTH on their last album FEELINGS OF FURY. Buy or Die.

I affraid I can`t say I was much impressed with this album!First, the opener tune is quite boring. It promisses a lot but after a while it just take you nowhere! There is a pretty good singer on this band, but that`s all!Describing the outfit,it`s regular european Hard Rock. Also there is a huge lack of hooks and grooves! The whole thing because the band does not define it`s own style, making everything soud damm artificial.50 out of 10

'Heart Of Rock n Roll' and 'Wish You Were Here' are a pair which stand out. I do like the opening intro to 'My Life' a keyboard dominated track, while the duo of 'Changes' and 'Free N Easy' have the accelerator stamped hard down to the floor. If you are a lover of German bands such as Roko and Axxis, then Affair are right up your alley.

This is pretty damn solid stuff. The sound is awesome and this is really a very good band. Check out 'Face to Face' for a huge melodic hard rocker, 'Too Shy' for another slab of mighty hard rock, the lovely ballad 'Wish You Were Here' and the killer hard rocker, 'Heart of Rock 'n Roll'... plus most the other tracks. Great slab of melodic hard rok and recommended.

"Changes" "Fantasy Girl" y "Face to Face" muy buenos temas de Hardrock pero sin lugar a dudas que los dos temazos del disco son la 10 y 11. De ahí todo entre regular y correcto. Buen cantante aunque los solos no muy buenos que digamos. La 6 es una semi-balada un poco sosa, la 7 una instrumental innecesaria IMO, "Day By Day" es una acústica mucho mejor que la 6, y la 13 es full cachondeo. Buen disco. 8/10

I'm surprised!! I agree with ALL the comments. It's a GREAT Cd to listen to but I'm shocked NO ONE mentioned the KILLER ballad "Day By Day". That song stays with me for weeks in my head..the melodic rock Aor feel is just incredible that song alone to ME is worth the price. Rock On!
