If you are a TNT fan you really need this CD...Great guitar, keyboards, production and melodies...This singer isn't as good as Tony Harnell, but i still couldn't live without this CD..

From: Kique Date: October 20, 2001 at 7:52
Just fantastic. I totally agree with TenK, even I think it's quite different of TNT. '4 letters words' and other songs make this a gem. Second one 'Surface of pain' is horrible and trhe third one 'Flux' is a half way between the first two.

From: PeteAOR Date: November 30, 2001 at 6:26
this is the best CD TNT never made, put it in the car today and cranked it ...wow its right up there with Tell No Tales. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery !!!

From: Dragonfly Date: December 15, 2001 at 9:59
I agree with the above. A very impressive first release. The TNT cd that never came out. Amasing powerful rock from Sweden. Too bad their second and third releases were crap. They sound like two different bands.

From: koogles Date: January 3, 2002 at 21:29
A better TNT album than most TNT albums. (Especially 'Firefly'!) You will not be able to resist the almighty hooks and Tony Harnell-style vocals on this KILLER CD! Tracks 1,2,5 and 9 will take your breath away and hold it for ransom. You really owe it to yourself to get this CD BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!!!

From: Jenni Date: January 19, 2002 at 18:23
This CD rocks...Very TNTish, but hasn't everyone tried to rip TNT off? Even people that think they can play like Ronni Le Tekro and can't because they are lazy and stupid and LIE! Ehhh hmmmm, Dennis *coughs* HAHAHA dumbass

From: JOURNEY Date: May 13, 2002 at 8:10
GREAT!!!'DAWNING OF THE DAY,'ALL NGHT ALLDAY','GIVE IT A SHOT',' FOUR LETTER WORDS' AND 'LONELY WORDS' ARE THE MASTERPIECE AND THE BETTER SONGS HERE!!! GREAT MASQUERADE!!!

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: July 14, 2002 at 4:00

From: mallorca´s rock Date: August 24, 2002 at 18:35
BESTIALES.

From: Infinity Date: January 1, 2004 at 21:41
very good debut-album....

From: Dean Date: January 7, 2004 at 15:15
Ok- i got the other two but up until now I never knew this one existed. I wasn't really impressed with the other two but all this 'TNT-Tell no tales' namesdropping is turning it into a must have. Where the hell can i find this cd? Is it really that good? More specifically-can the guitarist pull off any riffs comparable to Ronnie?

From: ROB GARCIA Date: January 23, 2004 at 15:34
i definetly agree with all the guys on top of me that this band reminds very much tnt, stylewise they are very similar but dont go thinking this is a second rate version of the norweigan masters cause youll be dead wrong!!.this is a very high quality melodic rock album that you shouldnt avoid at any cost!.IMHO this is just as good as the 'tell no tales' album.great musicianship + superb material make this album an absolute classic.no matter the price...get this monster now!!!.

From: jessica96fish Date: February 28, 2004 at 10:54
if you're into that scandi thing.then you ain't heard anything until you get this one.in the vain of dalton .raw. tnt top notch stuff is on offer here.

From: Great Dane Date: April 25, 2004 at 3:53
Recently bought this one, its been in my stereo ever since. Its phenomenal. I really cant find any weak spots here. The guitar playing especially is good.

From: Great Dane Date: May 8, 2004 at 14:07
www.cdon.dk theyve got it cheap.

From: beto Date: July 13, 2004 at 23:09

From: Grimwulf Date: August 6, 2004 at 21:02
Dont know if i agree with the comaprison to Tnt or not, Im a huge fan of Harnell n the boys...by the way, have u heard his band morning wood yet? Phenominal, Anyways, This album is a definite for the collection, Tony is a great vocalist in his own right, i would highly recommend this to anyone who has a covertable for those summer days..and those who dont, hell!! this album is simple a great spin everytime u put it in the stereo.....so just go pick it up....no matter the cost

From: Geoff Date: August 26, 2004 at 9:53
I personally feel the TNT comparisons go a little overboard too. The vocals could not be more different and musically these guys are heavier and I wouldn't really compare the song type either. I love TNT, but prefer this to all TNT releases, but as well as TNT I prefer this to any CD I can think of at this point in time because this is probably my favourite CD of all. Steller melodic hard rock without filler. The riffs, the choruses! 9.999/10

From: TIM (2) Date: August 26, 2004 at 10:02
Latter-day Def Leppard is the better comparison for me. This really is a monster, and is every bit as good as 'Surface of Pain' is bad. A woeful band-wagon hopping follow-up album that is even more nu-breed than the likes of Vonray (surely not?). Killer album this though. 9.5/10.

From: Kip Date: August 29, 2004 at 3:05
This is a very overhyped album. First of all it's very uneven. 2nd of all some tracs run into the next one so ends and beginnings of songs aren't tracked properly. There's some instrumental filler. The songs range from pretty good to really bad. The production is very good, and the melodies of the songs Koogles pointed out plus the memorable tunes of tracks 4, 6, and 12 make this a slightly above average album. Overall, nothing essential, but there are a number of good tunes worth keeping. 7/10

On cassette, the guitarist is Thomas G Son, not Thomas Eric. Whatever it is, this guy is awesome, high-skilled shredder. I take him...with Eddie Ardanuy (Dr Sin) and Extreme's Nuno... over other guitarists. This release has good songwriting and good choruses.

From: TIM (2) Date: October 20, 2004 at 5:38
Has anyone ordered their new album ('In Disguise') yet? The soundbytes for this sound okay, certainly better than their last 2 albums have been, but am interested to hear if anyone's got this through the bands website as the price is very low, and the shipping to outside the US seems suspiciously low...

I can see the TNT comparisons with the layered harmonies (both guitar and vocal), but I think the guitar player reminds me more of Harry Cody. Still, any way you slice it the singer is very good, and the guitarist rips!

TREMENDO ALBUM DE HARD MELODICO/AOR, OTRO JOYA ESCANDINAVA, ALBUM COMPLETO DE PRINCIPIO A FIN, TEMAS COMO Four Letter Words, Give it a Shot, Gimme All Your Love POR PONER MIS FAVORITAS, EL RESTO TAMBIEN SON DEMOLEDORAS, SOBRE LO QUE DICE EL AMIGO 9 CHAMPIONS, ESTOY EN TOTAL DESACUERDO, DECIR QUE ES MEJOR QUE TODOS LOS ALBUMS JUNTOS DE TNT, IMPOSIBLE, DECIR QUE ES MEJOR QUE CUALQUIER ALBUM DE TNT, HAY SI ESTOY DE ACUERDO, APARTE LA VOZ Tony Yoanson ME GUSTA MAS. SALUDOS DESDE PERU.

From: 80sMetal1 Date: December 8, 2004 at 0:12
I can see the TNT comparisons cus both bands are from Norway, but Tony Harnell has a bit higher of a voice than Tony Yoanson. Still, this CD kicks ass, razor sharp guitars, crystal clear vox, and awesome melodies. Our Time Has Come is just the perfect song to crank with the top down!! Give Me All Your Love and Ride The Wind feature some sharp biting guitar work, while Four Letter Words and Dancing on the Edge show off the band's melodic strengths. Great CD all around!

From: Scandinavia Date: December 8, 2004 at 4:46
I agree with you that it's awesome...Indeed!! Just a little correction here...MASQUERADE are Swedish and TNT are Norwegian..That makes one helluva difference here in Scandinavia. But yes, they still sound alike in various places.

From: Erik Date: December 29, 2004 at 6:45
Their first and their best release. Killertracks are Gimme all your love, Four letter Word, Our time has come, Ride with te wind, Dancing on the edge ( has def leppard written all over it !). Some awesome guitar work and clear singing. TOP !

From: Nanteau Date: February 27, 2005 at 11:36
the only song I did "die for" is the wonderful ballad ALL NIGHT ALL DAY. The one weak point is the lame chorus, the rest of the refrain reminds me a lot of being a BAD HABIT clone. Listen to their tune "I never though would love could do" and you .. DO Well, the other ballads are a bid powerless and the heavier tunes are not my cup of tea. For me it's a 6,9/10 though.

From: z4roxx Date: February 27, 2005 at 19:30
IMO it's a blasphemy give 6.9/10 to this cd,sorry mate!I don't know when you see a Bad Habit clone on this one?!"Masquerade"was a perfect melodick killer debut as few bands have done,IMO.I can find a comparrison maybe in Pole Position's debut(riffs)and somethin'in Aces High(debut)if I well remember but...Masquerade are Masquerade and Bad Habit are Bad Habit!Indeed both are killer bands and one of my faves....

From: mauricio Date: November 13, 2005 at 16:55

From: mauricio Date: November 13, 2005 at 16:56

From: chalometal Date: July 18, 2006 at 23:02

From: newscandi Date: November 2, 2008 at 9:48
A lot of people often tell me that Hard Rock is the stupiest and simpliest music genre in the world. Of course that's not what I say. But for this album I can agree with the quotation. "Rocks the world", you don't mean that seriously I hope? This one is unimatinative & dull, some songs are a little better. So as an honest rock fan you might give a 78/100 at highest.

I only have one word for this... "over rated"... damn thats two words lol. Downloaded this (legal) from Amazon... I can hear the TNT comparisons but that's where it ends the songs are dull and totally forgettable. Again people hear guitars in a song and wailing voices and start saying it's 10/10 or 90/100 dude I wouldn't even give this 50/100 it's just so boring and generic. If you're like me and like a good memorable tune or band don't get this...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

Wordless!!!..a masterpiece of AOR and Hard Rock..fans of TNT will love this a lot!!!14 songs and NOT A SINGLE FILLER!!!...amazingly is one of these albums that you are with your mouth watering all over...hahahaha...to be serious now i hardly ever rated an album with a 100 out of 100 but this one break the rules of magnificence,so a 100!!!...i was going to go song by song but it would take me like 3 full comments to finish,so my resume is like this.."Our Time Has Come" killer,"Sudden Love Affair" awesome, incredible semi ballad with a cool beat and excellent chorus,"Ride With The Wind" just loved it...the rest of the songs are marvellous per excellence...so here we go...any more recommendations???..just buy!!!.100/100

Very good, quality CD. Good singer, fast melodic guitar player, and solid musicians all around. Production is very good as well. So while this CD is not full of memorable hits, it is full of good melodic hard rock/metal played by good musicians with very good production. Great on the ears. 88/100 I would say it's a must own if you're a fan of late 80's early 90's melodic hard rock.

From: hair metal again Date: August 14, 2012 at 2:50
hard rock masterpiece by MASQUERADE and of course every die hard fan of the genre has this one in his collection!imagine TNT with a more commercial approach and better riffs and solos!the hooks are hundreds and the production is perfect!all the songs are great and there s no excuse for not owning that fine piece of art!

From: petermexico13 Date: July 1, 2014 at 15:17
This is a good record from this swedish band, I can see the comparisions with TNT, but come on! TNT is far superior, Harnell and Tekro are unique.

From: edwithmj Date: March 28, 2017 at 17:37
This album has it all, the hooks, the amazing melodies, the crazy solos and the memorable vocals. Favourites from this one are: Four Letter Words, and outstanding song and surely sets a standard for the album if not the genre; Our Time has Come, great riff and rhythm; Sudden Love Affair, slightly Steve Vai-ish guitars and decent chorus; Ride With The Wind, about as close to TNT as this album gets and my favourite, it's an uptempo rocker with one of the catchiest choruses I've ever heard; Dawning of the Day, the previous track fades into this semi-ballad nicely; Dancin' on the Edge, another TNT sounding track, very melodic; and All Night All Day, decent ballad that shows off Yoanson's vocals nicely. I really fail to understand how anyone couldn't like this.
