| Rome wasn't built in a day, and either is a well produced album. What struck me from the first listen is the mono/thin sound of this release. A few more original members have dropped off since 'Revelation Highway (2017)' in which the best tracks there were polished up demos from the band's archives. Derek Davis(vox) and Ron Freschi (guitar) are here with some fresh faces. The opening track “Wrecking Machine” is a pretty good high energy start, but the elephant in the room once again, is the poor production quality sounding dry with a echo chamber effect. It's get's more noticeable the deeper you get into the album. With all the modern day technology available today on the cheap, you think they could have cleaned this album up a bit. According to Derek Davis "Our fans are really gonna love the new album” as we brought in Grammy award winner David Donnelly of DNA Mastering to master the album to step back in time and capture the style and influence of the debut." Ignore your lying ears?
