Good EP from one of the better (non-poser) bands way back when.'Love Blind' is a d#mn good tune and would not have been out of place on their debut. If you were a fan of Babylon once upon a time id pick this one up. |

Non-poser? Weren't they one of those "formed in the manager's office" bands? Thought I'd heard somewhere that the songwriter Jack Ponti wanted a band to play his songs, so he put together Babylon A.D. If so, that's not very "metal." |

...he wrote/co-wrote a few songs with the band after they were signed to Arista. The band formed in '88 in the bay area.So Jack Ponti really didn't have Jack Sh!t to do with the band forming.Ponti was well known for shopping his songs around which as per usual is what songwriters do. |

Doesn't "The Kid Goes Wild" video for "ROBO COP 2 give the BAB's any street cred? Word on the S.F. Bay streets is that the band's original members have re-grouped and are ready for action. You think with a 14 year hiatus since American Blitzkrieg (2000)that the for a triumphant return they could have pulled together more than 3 average tunes and a redux (that's French for milking old material). These guys never jumped above second tier status back in the day getting a bit more notoriety than similar acts like Shark Island. Their talent tank must be running low as they would have had a full album to promote when they do some dates in the states this summer and then they will be playing the FireFest Rock Festival in England on 10/25/14. I wonder if the band told themselves they should have gotten a copyright kickback for the(2008) movie Babylon A.D. with Vin Diesel?
