Big boots to fill in trying to follow up the brilliant 'How Long' album, but my god MT has given it a damn good go. No smooth Moon Calhoun vocals this time, but Larry King has a good go at it, reminding me a lot of Gregory Lynn Hall from 101 South. All the rest is in check, MT's exquisite playing, some great tunes in the middle section especially 'Beautiful Mystery', 'Future Past', 'Gypsy Road' and 'End Game' are all great. The remake of 'Can't Miss' is good although a little pointless, as the original was so good. A couple of marks docked for 'Here I Am' and a couple of others which are weak, as is the production on a couple of songs, but generally, whilst not as good as 'How Long', this is a really good album.

For me this album even though is a very good one it doesn't stand as bright as the highly recommended "How Long" one...that one could be easily labeled as an AOR/Wescoast/Lite classic release and basically a must have in any self respected lover of the aforementioned genres...in here the highlights for me were "High Times","Future Past","When You Love Someone"(nice),"Break Me Down"(the chorus line reminds me of Alan Parson's "Eye In The Sky"),"End Game","Gypsy Road" & the remake of "Can't Miss"(originally from the "How Long" classic album)...is good to have Michael around with new material...surely a top class musician that deserves to be on the road on his own again(remember he's well known by being a session musician rather than a solo artist)...recommended album...88/100

HI fellow AOR fans.My comments here are not to do with this particular Album, But the musician himself; Michael Thompson. You may or may not already know this but there are 2 MT solo albums not listed on Hev Harms... They are; World According to MT 1998 & MT Speeks 2005. I won't go in to too much detail about these 2 albums but they are both MASTER PIECES....MUST HAVES.. & as for you JEZ thankyou very much for your great reviews. I have bought many many albums based on you opinions. THANKYOU Dags...

This is a very good album. The songs breathe nicely so itīs far from the formulaic hard aor sound the labels seem to favor these days. One of the best Frontiers albums released in 2010īs.
