The three new songs are quite decent. No Tomorrow and Heartbreaker would sound good on a new album. The re-recorded versions aren't so great. They lack the original energy of the original and sound like karaoke. Stick with the originals but the three new tracks are worth it.

Ive gotta agree, they could have really hit a home run on these remade classics, Paul Dean I will say makes up for what I believe he didn't do on any of these songs originally, and added some fire power behind the songs with some heavier guitar riffs, he does that here, but the song's lack the before mentioned energy, and they just kind of drizzle off making you quickly load up the originals to make up for what is missing in your brain, kind of like drinking Odouls, makes you quickly reach for a Heineken, I only recommend this for the 3 new songs which I think are great.

Listening to the samples here, I am quite impressed with the remakes. I normally HATE anyone (original band or other) remaking classic songs that are fine the way they are. But Loverboy is still rocking! I mean, it's been almost 35 years since some of these songs were first recorded. The band still sounds really good!

About this album, well,is good to have Loverboy around but i believe it should have been better a proper new album rather than this remake of some of their classic stuff IMO...'Heartbreaker' is a a catchy new song(there are 3 new tracks)and talking about the remakes i'd take these ones:'Lovin' Every Minute Of It','Lucky Ones','Always On My Mind','Queen Of The Broken Hearts' & 'Hot Girls In Love'(this one with some strange arragements but cool enough)...enjoyable just because of the band's all time classics but nothing else...85/100

hen it was announced that a new Loverboy disc was on the way, my pulse started racing, as it has been 5 years since the excellent 'Just Getting Started' album in 2007. My heart sunk when I heard this was going to be a new album of Re-records and liking this one will depend on your stance around bands re-recording their classic hits. Personally It doesn't bother me, although most of the re-records I have heard usually offer nothing new and on occasions take away from the class of the originals. Journey, Foreigner and Kiss all did it with a certain degree of success on their discs, although in no way would I go to those before the original albums. This is a similar story, well done re-records, sticking pretty much to the originals, although a few are a little more beefed up in the production, (although it must be added, the production isn't that great), but most lacking something from the originals. Of the 3 new songs, 2 are average and not great and 'Heartbreaker' which is a belter
