Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

A lot heavier than Keep It Up, although the songs suffer from drum machine excess. The title song, Dangerous, and Friday Night are among the heaviest they've recorded. Lead a Double Life is a party type song, and This Could be the Night is the best ballad I've heard from this type of band... Mike Reno shines on this album. |

This is as close to perfect as commercial 80's AOR gets. Loverboy adopted a slightly heavier sound for 'Lovin', with more gusto coming from Dean's guitar. Still the keyboards were as dominating as ever, certainly a positive mixture. 'Lovin' Every Minute Of It' is clearly a band at their peak. A definite must hear. |

THIS COULD BE THE NIGHT AND LOVIN' EVERY MINUTE OF IT, WHAT A SONGS, THESE SONGS ARE REALLY MASTERPIECES, YOU JUST HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE GUITAR SOLO AND THE VOICE IN THE THIS COULD BE THE NIGHT SONG, IT'S AMAZING, DRUMS AND KEYBOARDS ARE PERFECT TOO, JUST LISTEN TO IT. |

Great album. The song Lovin' Every Minute of It, sound like DEF LEPPARD(it was writen by ROBERT JOHN LANGE, the producer of DEF LEPPARD). Also this album was produced by TOM ALLOM, known for his work with JUDAS PRIEST. I LOVE THIS ALBUM. |

This was a nice surprise, to hear them attach a small ballsack to their music. It does sound a little like Leppard in places, sort of. 'Steal the thunder', 'Friday night' and 'This could be the night' are all nice slabs of AOR, with 'Dangerous' rounding up a grand total of 4 solid tracks on this, their best release of their earlier work, IMO. |

LOVERBOY is love of my life. I cannot imagine the world without Paul Dean's great axework and Mike's voice.I know people tend to overlook this album but to me it's one of the best ones in the history of AOR.'Lead a double life' is a msterpiece both musically and lyrically should be on any Greatest Rock Hits compilation!! |

For me, not as good as their first three albums though still a quality release, I personally love This Could Be The Night, Destination Heartbreak and Dangerous. |

Not a bad cd at all, and it contains the beautiful and classic ballad This could be the night. The title track and Destination heartbreak are good too, and the closing Bullet in the chamber is fun to listen to. |
