Melodic rock at its finest - 'Faith' - what a beautiful song - still humming that song. If you know anything of this band is that they always deliever and have gotten better in songs and production as the years go on. This by far is their best - but thats not to say the other two were bad - grab it and listen. |

The band's strongest album to date, which means all fans of their earlier work should definitely be impressed with this. They also have a chance to gather some new fans, with some very good AOR songs written and featured here. Just check out the wonderful piano work in "Sophia's Song". |

The Bad News: It's more of the same fare that the Weekends served up in 'Presence of Mind', with few of the breakthrough new ideas that such a talented outfit are undoubtedly capable of. The Good News: 'Presence of Mind' is a truly great Melodic Rock album, so 'more of the same' is not a bad thing! |

Immediately I was taken by the awesome new sound - much tighter and heavier, but by the end I was lost. Not one song really impressed me. The closest I got was 'Whose heart', which when returned to I realised was pathetic. The album sounds good, the songs don't. If they re-recorded 'Presence of mind' with this sound I'd have been happier. Very, very average (or even below average?) disc. |

Incredible. What a beautiful album!! Just listen to it or buy it even without listening. You won't be disappointed. |

After the last comment I did want to hear again this cd.It’s very very generic aor release, with a typical English voice improntment that remind me a little to Gary Hughes and Ten also for the choruses.I also think the singer could sing with more energies because sometimes he seams a sleeping zombie.Even if here there is nothin’new I can say that it runs ok through my ears but”presence of mind”cd is a little better IMO. |

MelodicRock/AOR comparables con los Emerald Rain o Newman. La producción mejora ostensiblemente con respecto a sus demas discos y la música está muy aceptable por ende su mejor disco es éste IMO. "Feed on Emotion" "Who's the One to Blame?" y la acústica "Sophia's Song (My Shining Star)" los Highlights para mí. 8/10 |

Without sounding too harsh, this is what's wrong with alot of new aor/melodic rock releases. Very generic. The songs seem written by the numbers, with little feeling. And the singer does not impress me much. I have no need for this mediocre (sp?) kind of music. If you want to hear fantastic new stuff listen to Work of Art. Now THOSE guys get it!!!! |

Pleasant album but far from being a killer and less an essential one...just some good songs and that's all...my faves are "Feed On Emotion","Once In A Moment" and the couple of nice ones "By Now" & "Whose Heart"...tracks 3 & 6 could be target as goodies too...85/100 |
