The vocals may seem hard to deal with but i always liked this album. fave song: coolme down. tomcat@dolfijn.nl

From: Tanya ~ Date: August 24, 2001 at 21:47
Cryin Out was always my favorite -- although i agree that the vocal's can get on your nerve's after awhile BUT at least Randy O has a wide range of VERY high and LOW vocal's ... cool album though!

From: Mobster Date: October 4, 2001 at 9:22
This Randy O dude is nothing but a cheesy Mandy Lion rip off! Check out the master himself instead of listening to this cheeseball! I remember Odin in which he sounded nothing like this and all of a sudden after the Lion came on the scene all these wanna be sound alikes started popping up! Randy is one of the worst ones though........

From: HG Date: February 17, 2002 at 15:51
Killer vocals! This guy puts more feeling into his singing than anyone else I can think of.

From: tony Date: May 7, 2002 at 3:21
oh!!!!!!!!! very Good! Randy!!

From: Drag-in-Bones Date: July 21, 2002 at 0:41
Featuring "Odin's" alumni "Randy O", concocting a suspiciously crafty brand of formula rock on this CD. "Lost And Found" bost token hooks, melodies to really get the ol' adrenalin surging!!! Did anyone see Randy O's girl friend in Decline Of Western Civilization Part 2? DAMN SHE WAS HOOOOOOOOOT!!! I Give Her A 10!!!

From: Rycheage Date: March 9, 2003 at 21:32
This is an excellent CD with some pretty good vocals. Sounds like a cross between Brian Johnson (AC/DC) and Tom Kiefer (Cinderella). Good CD that can be picked up cheap on eBay. 9.0/10.

From: Shoemaker Date: April 19, 2003 at 12:25
Ok, when I saw the cover I thought, AOR stuff with a gay touch. But when I heard the first song, I was sure this is dirty hardrock. And folks the singer sounds like Brad Sinsel (TKO/ War Babies).

From: King James Date: May 12, 2003 at 1:27
Ignore what the others are saying, Randy O. is one of the best metal vocalists ever! Low, high, in between, he sings and screams all ranges. His work in both Odin and Lostboys is legendary. He never got the fame he deserved while less talented singers like Bret Michaels did. "Cryin Out" is a metal masterpiece. Listen to it in the dark for the full effect of this eerie tune! Whatever happened to Randy? I wish I knew.

From: Leatherwolf Date: May 24, 2003 at 10:27
No disrespect intended but thought this disc was a TURD! Glad I picked it up for a dollar.

From: Ace Date: May 27, 2003 at 0:53
Cryin out makes this album a good buy. Randy O has the most amazing voice i've ever heard. He's got the atomic metal scream thing down perfect.

From: koogles Date: May 27, 2003 at 2:02
Stop kidding around. This is FUCKING SHIT. That's right... capital S- SHIT, not just the shit that just stays in lower case and gets reserved for post-"Empire" Queensryche CD reviews. The singer on this CD BLOWS. He must have eaten sandpaper before going into the studio. Then chased it back with a bucket of sawdust. I can't believe a major label released this crap. Leatherwolf's post above speaks the truth!!

From: ROB GARCIA Date: January 21, 2004 at 13:16
completely agree with koogles.listening to randys voice is irritating!...hell man! the first time i listened to this album i thought the cd was fucked!!.thats how bad it is.

From: Jimmy Tavis Date: March 29, 2004 at 0:57
I'm happy to hear the good and bad comments regarding this recording. I wrote performed and worked my ass off landing 2 record deals by the time I was 21. Thanks to all the fans, and to you wanna be's see my newest in the movie titled reckless on the Rockstar movie. I'm still collecting checks, unlike you ridiculing bozo's who like to insult others art without having a bone of talent in you're bodies. get a real job. Let me know when YOU make it.. Jimmy Tavis Lost and Found

From: MIKE S Date: April 2, 2004 at 17:06
Yikes! Jimmy obviously has a problem with criticism! I thought leaving your opinion on cds was what this website was supposed to be all about! Here's mine: ODIN is one of my fave bands & because of the 2 ex-ODIN members on this release I picked this cd up - BUT this sounds NOTHING like ODIN - especially the vox! I wouldn't slam this disc as hard as koogles, but I didn't care for it either. One listen to this one was enough for me then it was trade bait...

From: Eric 1984 Date: May 12, 2004 at 11:58
MIKE S : Yes, that's right, in this band are two ex-ODIN members, but nobody knows it. Write me: jk_803@hotmail.com I like the singer, good vocals, good album. En esta banda hay dos ex miembros de ODIN, es buen Hard Rock, se destaca el cantante por su voz particular y Crying Out es lejos el mejor tema. Escriban: jk_803@hotmail.com

From: Geoff Date: January 16, 2005 at 2:44
Wow, poor bass played had to see the harsh comments here. I know I'd be pissed off if I saw someone making comments like Koogles did about my band, but hey, if you're going to make shit like this you'd have to expect it Sorry, I hate to be so blunt, but this really is, IMO, a f*cking dreadful disc. Vocals like testicles being stripped from a scrotum and the most forgettable songs imaginable. Hope Jimmy realises it's just people's opinions, but I have to agree with the harsh ones here...

From: cook_jaime Date: February 23, 2005 at 14:53
I may not remember it in a year but I'm digging it. Great range of vocals from Randy. What the hell is up with the cover photo though??? If this HH forum wasn't around I would have never bought this cd. If you find it cheap on EBay pick it up.

From: strinealleycat Date: June 7, 2005 at 21:47
Great album in my opinion. Sad to say that my friend drummer Dorian "Chad" Matson passed away in Pennsylvania Oct 15, 1997.

From: Bobby De Date: October 17, 2005 at 12:17
Most of the songs on here seem to be heading in a new direction. But needless to say its still the lead singer of ODIN. Lets keep it real, if you don't like odin or the lead singer of ODIN, then your just a Nube. And you have no right to talk about any heavy metal albm that came out of the wonderful 80's. Go listen to god knows is hip today. I can't really say what I want to say now what I want to about those people becuase I'll get booted. But please, why do you say Randy O sucks. If you think

From: metalalways Date: January 2, 2006 at 17:36
lostboys kicks ass, randy o is a good singer that can sing in all vocal ranges not many singers can do it like randy o love the songs, cryin', right on track and the shot song calling the shots shoot me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: aMetalhead1966 Date: January 5, 2006 at 14:17
This is a really bad release...I think Odin were okay...but this is just plain awful..got it when it came out, hated it then also....

From: poproxx2007 Date: July 28, 2006 at 3:16
Cryin' Out Is A Classic!! Cannot Be Denied!! You can hear the pain in Randy O's voice...Its about love and loss....rest of the disc is alright...worth checking out...

From: BIG-TIME Date: May 20, 2007 at 12:41
Never get this disc EVER! even if your life depends on it, oh yes it's that bad. Stay away dont even be tempted to buy this crap dont listern to it or even keep reading PLEASE...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: Metal T Date: February 8, 2008 at 13:15
This is a cool disc !Randy kicks tail on those first 2 songs (Cryin'Out and "Right On Track") Helps to really actually f'n listen to a disc before you make your stupid comments.

From: T-Bone Date: February 11, 2008 at 16:36
Metal T... What makes you think that previous reviews were from people that haven't listened to the disk? Your OPINION is just that, an OPINION. Others may not like what they hear, but that doesn't in any way make your opinion more right than theirs.

From: shoemaker Date: February 12, 2008 at 10:48
His opinion is right! This disc is cool.

From: metalmajo Date: December 26, 2009 at 14:22
goood cd,8 out of 10

From: rick kerch vzla Date: August 12, 2010 at 21:38
Lostboys with its "sex symbol" Randy O ...a band that didn't break through the market even though their appereance in the movie The Decline Of Western Civilization # 2 "The Metal Years" helped them 2 achieve some recognition but up 2 that only..the songs are quite well but nothing to kill for honestly and Randy O could be just a regular singer with ups and downs in here, anyway about the songs,"Cryin' Out" is pretty cool, yes, it catches you,"Right On Track" is a goodie one,"Cool Me Down" does it well,"Seaside Lover" is a strong blues influenced number and then comes 2 coolies "In The Middle" & "Shot Song"...despite good and bad comments in my case i agree with Tom's comment about the singing thing...the album, just decent, that's it...buy and find out 4 yourselves!.84/100

From: JONBONPIGO Date: August 20, 2012 at 18:19
Wow.."CRYIN' OUT"..Is without a doubt a DOUBLE FIST THRUSTING!!!! \nn/ \nn/ CLASSIC....Haven't listened to the rest of the album yet, but that tune alone puts it in the I WANNA HEAR (WISH I HAD HEARD) THAT IN CONCERT MODE...

From: Mace Date: January 30, 2013 at 18:54
I just read through the vitriol directed at this cd and then saw the response from one of the band members. I then read the insults back at the band member. You know, if you write trash about someone's work and they come back at you, suck it up cupcakes!!! He has the right to defend his band and music. If you can't hack it, then don't write junk about his band to start with.

From: HeartbreakBlvd Date: March 6, 2016 at 11:57
I find this vocal nice at all but sometimes it's a bit annoying.

From: hair metal again Date: August 14, 2019 at 15:56
Excellent hair metal release for LOVERBOY back in the early 90 s in a big company and i d day that their around is somewhere between WWIII ,JULIET and BATON ROUGE.some great rockers and ballads with extremely rough vocals of the highest range as well, wow."cryin out","right on track""lonely Manowar" are fine songs and the only thing missing is one of two more commercial tunes

From: MetalllianStallion Date: August 22, 2019 at 0:43
@ hair metal again, elaborate on your insider encrypted information, What's this average group with former members in ODIN, have to do with Loverboy (the band) or the loin skin lords of metal (MANOWAR)? Did they steal your writing credits? As they sound nothing alike as far as comparisons.

From: hair metal again Date: August 23, 2019 at 16:47
@Metallian Stallion i m sorry for that one...my cell phone did it ..lol...here i go again: Excellent hair metal release for LOSTBOYS back in the early 90 s in a big company and i d day that their around is somewhere between WWIII ,JULIET and BATON ROUGE.some great rockers and ballads with extremely rough vocals of the highest range as well, wow."cryin out","right on track""lonely man" are fine songs and the only thing missing is one of two more commercial tunes!

From: Auslander Date: March 5, 2021 at 13:43
Some progress was made from Odin in this new band. Some of the songs have genuine hooks. Clever of the band to include their bonafide best track as the opener, Cryin' Out. Nothing else quite makes that standard but the album is not as bad as some of the reviewers make out. I don't hate the vocals as much as some seem to. I'd give this 67/100. It's much better than Odin. Worth having for the first track if you can find it cheap.
