What was interesting about this disc is that the band shortened their name to simply LRB and adopted a heavier approach to their music. Well... it ain't exactly metal, but it's more rockin' than anything they put out before. Haven't heard this album in a long time, but some of the songs still stick in my mind; especially the title track. Incidentally, they reverted back to their full band name after this release. Good stuff. I may just have to get it on cd. |

Excellent transition from their trademark sound of 70's lite-pomp to a more distinctive harder-edged sound. Not exactly hard rock but more punch than we were used to. "Playing To Win" is a pomp masterpiece and "When Cathedrals Were White" reminds me of an AOR-inspired Kansas. "Relentless" and "Count Me In" are AOR icons. A must own for any AOR fan out there. Great stuff. |

Saw them do Blind Eyes on US show called Solid Gold - an absolute corker. The album has some great stuff with John Farnham really bellowing but also some very dated songs in between the diamonds |

This is the Heavier side of LRB.The songs are really good and it has the tipical touch of aor that the readers might spect.7/10 |

Another great John Farnham era Little River Band album. IMO, not as good as their previous album - The Net but still some great tracks. |
