| Strange and Beautiful was Crimson Glory's attempt to be more accessible to fit music scene of the late 80's/early 90's. Musically it's a mix of hard rock with some "eastern influence" (think Led Zeppelin "Kashmir"), and/or at times reminds me of The Cult. Vocalist is similar to Geoff Tate of Queensryche. Overall, a solid hard rock album.

| Ranging from midtempo, atmospheric seventies-tinged rock (great!) to schmaltzy ballads sounding like a poor man's gospelrock, this is a hit and miss affair that estranged the band's early fanbase, without winning over many new listeners. Lyrically subpar, the worst tracks are so cringy (Love and Dreams, sjeesh, wtf!) that I started to question this band's mental capabilities. The heavier tracks are solid indeed, if they had stuck to that and released this as an EP, it would have been a brilliant release. Now, 40/100.
