October 29, 2020: TWO DAYS LEFT in the Annual Heavy Harmonies Donation Drive!
We're at 69% of the goal to cover the site's annual expenses. While it doesn't look like we'll end up anywhere near the goal, it would be awesome if we hit 75% or 80% before all is said and done. Every donation, no matter how small, helps immensely!
Donation buttons are shown below. There is a thread on the HH forum that explains the perks for donating at the $20 and $50 levels.
Thank you for supporting the Heavy Harmonies community!-Dan

If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.
The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Lake CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.
EPs and CD-singles from Lake are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

My absolutely favourite album (still searching for the CD though). Contains the original version of Limahl´s "Inside to Outside". And the band is from Hamburg/Germany, my hometown.

There's more to the Lake story than the CD here. They released a string of albums in the late 70s, none of which are terribly memorable. They don't rock- that's for sure- but they have a Camel-like innocuous quality to them that, given you're in the right mood, is somewhat endearing.

In addition to the mercilessly catchy ‘Inside to Outside’, I like the crunch of the uptempo opener ‘In the Midnight’ - ditto goes for the somewhat darker ‘Big Brother’ - possibly my favorite on the album. On the quieter side, ‘Voice in the Wind’ goes nowhere, but does so in a nice way! The ballad ‘Laura’ also showcases the band's ear for a good melody, and is a good choice for a closing song. Good stuff here!!

Another Good album from Lake, Lake no es un grupo que haga AOR en el mas estricto sentido de la palabra, hacen un AOR con toques new wave y Pop algo asi como los Icehouse aunque Lake muestran las guitarras a direfencia de Icehouse que lo hacen poco, ahora tanto este como sus 2 anteriores albums son buenos, en cortes In the Midnight, Inside to Outside(las que mas me van), Big Brother, Feel You In My Arms, Thick and Thin where is ICEHOUSE. si esta Bogart Co Porque no esta Icehouse aca!!!

ME LLAMA LA ATENCION QUE ESTE DISCO DE LAKE SEA EL MAS COMENTADO EN ESTE FORO CUANDO NO TIENE NADA QUE HACER EN CONPARACION CON "HOT DAY" QUE ES SU OBRA MAESTRA.
