"All I Wanted" is a wonderful music! Top 10 hit!!

This is a great release. Morse rules. If anyone could please make some reviews on some of the other Kansas releases.????

Agreed with Kim and Billy Boy. Albums like this come along once in a career. Kansas finally perfected the AOR formula with this one. "All I Wanted" was my favourite song of 1986. If you love this as much as I do, check out Seventh Key- s/t (2001, Frontiers).

"can't cry anymore", top ten of all time

Along with Audio Visions, probably my fave Kansas album. Very modern sounding, with some great rockers, "Silhouettes In Disguise", "We're Not Alone Anymore", "Tomb 19", and let's not forget "All I Wanted", pretty much the epitome of the AOR ballad. Steve Walsh is such a great and unique vocalist, it kills me that he doesn't get more accolades from other singers.

I must admit I've never thought Walsh was one of the worlds greatest vocalists, but I loved the band. Great album, with the pop-sounding "Tomb 19" being my fave.

Agree fully with Koogles here, Kansas finally perfected their aor formula and come up with their best album. The first three tracks are the best and among the bands best songs of their career. 8/10

Released in the golden year of AOR, this albums, along with many other 1986 keyboard-driven releases, is one of my best favourites. Track 2,3,8,9 and 10 really fitted the scene. The songs are not only sweet and radio friendly, but the chords are excellent. Track 1 maybe their heaviest tune so far. Steve Morse is also amazing.

From: Lovedrive Date: August 1, 2005 at 13:32
GRANDIOSO.

From: rene Date: December 13, 2005 at 17:28
TOMB 19 is just a great track of pure HARD AOR like SURVIVOR did in those times too. I agree that the singer STEVE WALSH is great on this album.

Somewhat of a hit and miss affair, if you ask me. Some fantastic AOR/Melodic Rock pieces but also some songs I can't seem to warm to(Taking In The View, Secret Service and the instrumental Musicatto). Overall a great band and Steve Walsh sounds great!

Listening again to this pleasant release..."All I Wanted" is by far the best cut and one of the most sensitive songs of the band...some other fine moments(that basically is the entire album) are tracks 1(good rocking one),2,4,8,9 & 10(nice)...87/100 (my new rate)
