Creye have established themselves as good guys of upbeat melrock, their third album faithfully maintaining their style of high-energy fluff. They're not exactly treading new ground here, with everything from the vocals to the songwriting feeling very reminiscent of the last record, but that's not a bad thing. "Air" is my pick of the album, with its excellent stadium-rocker chorus, closely followed by "How Far," which reminds me a lot of II's "The Greatest." The only track which lowers the quality is the pure filler "In the Shadows," but it's more than made up for by the tonally dynamic "Weightless" and the pop AOR of "Dangerous." Creye fans will be delighted, but no one who hated their previous output will be won over.

Once more into the breach ith Creye. Well, I might be the only person who found their previous album II a disappointment. To me it was oppressively optimistic and sounded like a talent contest band. Not the same with III. I find them back on form. I knew this on first listen to lead single Spreading Fire. Here we go! Sounds like Swedish AOR. Air is the next single. Starts slower, builds up. Perfection! Some might find the production almost too perfect. But I think that is fine with AOR played with such skill. Yes, this a a contender for 2023. I can see myself listening to this a lot. Grade A(OR)
