This recording is sooooo underrated. "Stop" is breathtaking. "The Sound Of Your Voice" is as AOR as it gets. Butcher has a great voice, incredible guitar. He must have pissed off somebody BAAAAD to get no attention or promotion. Take a flyer and find this recording. If you don't like it, check your pulse. |

Excellent CD, and yes, VERY underrated. "Stop!," "Electricity," and "Carrie" are among my favorites. Jon Butcher can tear it up on the guitar too. I had a heck of a time finding this one. Enjoy! |

Dug this one out for a spin last night. Strong Material, and very consistent throughout, with 'Two Hearts Running', 'Carrie', 'Electricity' being my picks, with only 'I've Got Money' letting the side down. I noted down that JB's voice was very reminiscent of Michael Bolton on this album in places (which is no bad thing for me)and a couple of tracks, 'Carrie' especially, isn't far removed from the MB material of his first 3 albums. Anyway track this one down as it's well worth the effort!!! |

This album reminds me 'bout mid 80s Bolton's albums, not only because his voice is similar, but the production and overal feel of both are just similar. And it's a good thing. All that we've got is a strong AOR albumu.''Two hearts running'' seems to be my favourite track on this albums. Very nice midtempo michael bolton/andy fraser/journey like song ( John's sharing vocals with a female vocalist here.) While ''Sounds of your voice'' is a great melodic rock ballad, with sweet keyboards addition. O |

Pleasant album indeed!!!!...Jon sounded like Michael Bolton which is a very hard task to accomplish because Michael's way of singing is kinda of particular and unique...my fave tracks are "Stop","Sounds Of Your Voice"(nice),"Along The Axis","Two Hearts Running"(the best song of the album IMHO),"Between The Lines"(great) & "Carrie"(great)...85/100 |
