this is actually very decent effort...i was dissapointed with last two Magnum albums, and last Catley solo wasn't that good to me as to majority of others...this brings new approach in music, it's very heavy on the border between hard rock and heavy metal, like solo albums by Jorn Lande...1 or 2 fillers in sight( album it's too long IMO) but overally it's worth buying

Really getting into this one after a good few spins. The best of the material doesn't really appear until 'Last Snows Of Winter at song 5. After that 'The Fire Within Me','Judgement Day'' Lost To The Night' & 'End Of The Story' really shine & are each very very fine songs indeed. Bob's last album 'When Empires Burn' was better sonically than this & I do believe I hear a couple of cracks beginning to appear in the old magic Catley voice, otherwise this is business as usual and a fine album!!

I haven't really been into Bob's stuff for a while, but got to agree with the comments above. This is a good solid melodic hard rock album with some good songs. I think the first half of the album is very strong. The best I've heard from him in a long, long while.

THIS IS HIS BEST SOLO ALBUM EVER. What a great cd. I am realy loving it. All the songs are great. From the first till the last one. Some sound like old and classic MAGNUM but most of them sound more heavy metal. A little like RAINBOW but also like BLACK SABBATH with TONY MARTIN era (and some STRATOVARIUS+GAMMA RAY+HAMMERFALL sound into it). Very strong and great songs and its realy a buy or die release.

A different release for Bob and not really for the better. A similiar sound but the different songwriting team really shows and for the worse. It's hard rock but largely not as catchy as "empire" or "legends". Some great choruses would have been good.

This album is great, but could have been a classic had some quality control been exercised and it had been trimmed to 9 or 10 tracks. As it is I feel the need to reach for the skip button when 'Fire Within Me', 'Name of the Cause' and 'Beautiful Mind' start playing, but make no mistake, 'Heart of Stone', 'Moment Of Truth', 'Blinded By A Lie' and 'Judgement Day' are excellent slabs of Melodic Hard Rock at it's finest. Overall, not quite Empires, but not far behind. Highly Reccomended.

This man will be never wrong with a single track.Another killer album full of mega-hits.Not a single false step by this awesome artist. His solos'albums are also better than Magnum most of songs.
