What a beautiful album from one of the best voices in melodic world in music history. Also work from Vinny Burns is something special. This album has for sure TEN feeling but this VOICE makes this |

Easy. Bob Catley's best solo album to date and his (and Gary Hughes) most musically versatile and challenging. An excellent batch of songs that push both gentleman's boundaries, therefore delivering a rewarding result to the listeners of the album. Excellent. |

Entre todos los solistas de Catley este es para mi el mejor (sin llevar mucha diferencia a los otros). PERFECTA OBRA MAESTRA!.10/10 |

This is a classic. Bob Catley has the finest voice this side of everywhere, and this album showcases it almost perfectly. In many ways this one is my favourite of his 'solo' albums, however his voice just keeps on getting better! When Empires Burn proves that in an instant. |

Don't see what all the fuss is about. Bought this because I heard raves about how great it was, and I wasn't at all impressed. Not terrible, just not really spectacular either. I hope his other stuff is better than this less than inspiring effort. |

This is a very good effort ? ? ? , and his other releases are strong too. A great talent ! |

Well, this is certainly not Heavy Metal (thank goodness) or straightforward AOR so anyone who has very simple (no offense intended!) tastes in music may not connect with this pomp/symphonic/classic/progressive but 100% melodic rock sound! The combination of Bob's HUGE voice and the endless instrumental melody on this CD make it my favourite of Bob's solo stuff. For anyone who prefers more direct heavy AOR his most recent album 'When Empires Burn' is an essential listen. ALL Bob's stuff is class! |

I don't like this one. Can't really pin-point what's wrong thou, probably has something to do with the Gary Hughes/Ten connection. Seems like I've heard it all too many times before. Bob's vocals are as good as ever thou and that's the only reason I've kept it, would have gone straight to the "used cd exchange" otherwise. |

I`am very happy with this little Gem ! All in all very solid and well played ! Bob,you are one of the greatest vocalists at all ! 8,5/10 |

Nice kinda conceptual album...in agreement with the Magnum/Ten comparisson but well, still it gets you real fine, forget about that..."Against The Wind","The End Of Summer","This Gallant Band Of Manic Strangers" & "The Fellowship" are my faves...85/100 |
