Jaded Heart blends Bon Jovi-esque rock with the best of German melodic metal. This CD is the latest of four releases and is the best so far. Comes highly recommended for fans of melodic metal.

From: kim Date: February 24, 2001 at 3:42
I agree with Chris, Jaded Heart has grown in writing songs and put a cd together with nothing but great songs and no fillers.(which was in my opinion the case on "Slaves & Masters)."

From: Big Dokken Date: April 1, 2001 at 6:18
Wow.......... I wish American radio stations played melodic rock. These guys are awesome. Keep it up!!!! Please tour in America and IOWA!!!!!!

From: Hammer Date: June 7, 2001 at 22:07
Just a flat out awsome recording from Live and Let Die to the end. Best Hard Rock CD in many years!

From: T-BONE Date: August 10, 2001 at 15:36
Kool cover of Phil Collins' Easy Lover. Jaded Heart gave it a kick in the ass!!!

From: David Date: October 19, 2001 at 2:07

From: jon_quique Date: December 8, 2001 at 6:53
This is the best album of Heavy Music, in time. Up the heavy.

From: Dragonfly Date: December 14, 2001 at 18:16
Top notch AOR from Germany. They produce hit after hit. They also have a "Best Of" that you can find at NEH Records.

From: James Date: February 26, 2002 at 20:38
Not only is this a great cd but it has two amazing cover's on it. Easy Lover by Phil Collins is really kicked up on the tempo and they do a really good job on the Rainbow classic Stone Cold.

From: Steve Date: April 6, 2002 at 1:17
Ain't a perfect world may be one of the best songs ever written. This is a great band.

From: David Date: August 16, 2002 at 5:02
Have to agree with Steve on this one.

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: September 1, 2002 at 5:16

From: MichaelGR Date: October 26, 2002 at 19:45
THE VERSION OF "EASY LOVER" IS UNBELIEVABLE.........

From: Jordi Date: October 31, 2002 at 5:39

From: Romolo Date: April 25, 2003 at 4:25

From: vandervelde Date: May 31, 2003 at 8:53
For me the best german band ,maybe beside BONFIRE,but if they exist in the 80's probably they will beat them...if you like this check solo album from Michael Bormann......

From: Great Dane Date: August 16, 2003 at 1:11
The production is great. The opener is one of those tracks I absolutely hates. Childrens choir, and annoying harmonies. THe hooks are good though. Track two also opens with annoying singing. Track three is a hopeless ballad. Then there is a cover Stonecold, which is better than the Rainbow version, but others might think differently. I just hate JLTurner. The rest of the disc ontinues in a slow tempo, and never takes off, making a hard rock track. TRack 8-11 and 12 are not bad though. 6/10

From: Jarrockero Date: August 22, 2003 at 7:56

From: Scandinavia Date: September 14, 2003 at 13:19
Their cover of "Easy Lover" is absolutely excellent!

From: John Date: September 25, 2003 at 17:17
Probably my favorite Jaded Heart album. From the stomping opener 'Live And Let Die', to the 'come on come on come on Take My Soul'...class throughout. I ain't a ballad guy, but they even nail the blues on 'She's a Woman'. I don't know if Jaded Heart has ever played 'Ain't A Perfect World' live, but I don't see how Borrman could pull that off. It's a near perfect vocal. 9.5/10

From: robert Date: September 25, 2003 at 20:40

From: Jordi Date: October 29, 2003 at 8:19

From: Mallorca´s rock Date: January 8, 2004 at 10:15
Excelente... 9/10

From: AOR freaky Date: January 8, 2004 at 10:36
Not bad, but this stuff can't compete with american and canadian AOR stuff and acts !

From: run2u Date: April 13, 2004 at 21:22

From: MJ (Marla) Date: May 7, 2004 at 13:39
Wow.....I can't believe no one has mentioned "Way Back Home" yet!! This song just knocked me on my butt....and I haven't gotten up yet!!! This has to be one of the MOST beautiful perfect ballads I've ever heard!! I've always loved the song "Stonecold" and I totally agree with Great Dane.....Jaded Heart just blows Rainbow out of the water on this!!! "Easy Lover".....eh....I could take it or leave it. This disc is a 10/10 with me...

From: Big Papa K Date: June 27, 2004 at 0:13
Another band that receieves too much hype in the melodic rock community. You have to question a band that puts two covers on one album, but their version of "Easy Lover" is pretty good. A lot of these songs run a little too long, and while not bad by any means, just not worthy of the praise that they receive. 6/10

From: T-Bone Date: July 6, 2004 at 17:39
The Japanese Edition has a totally different track listing and 2 extra tracks: "Under The Skies Of Africa" and "In The Night"

From: Janxy Date: August 13, 2004 at 23:32
Very strong album by Jaded Heart with both rocking and laid back songs basking in a knockout production by Bobby Barth. The album hits perfection by following When You Hear The Thunder with Ain't a Perfect World and then goes one better by chasing these monsters with With Your Eyes. Definitely an album I could not do without.

From: Geoff Date: August 14, 2004 at 23:40
Sometimes the ratings on this site just plain amaze me! 6 for this album?! This is a monster of melodic hard rock, from the perfect opener to the cool Phil Collins cover as a closer. Inbetween there are the riff filled monsters like 'But I like it' 'Aint a perfect world' and 'Behind your pride', the sentimental gem 'With your eyes', the melodic monster 'When you hear the thunder'. The album is a killer, no two ways about it! 9/10

From: James Date: August 15, 2004 at 0:18
This album is easy a 9/10

From: juan carlos Date: May 21, 2006 at 0:14
Buen disco. 8.5/10

From: Metalmusicman Date: December 9, 2006 at 21:19
I have been listening to this band from day one and this is still one of my favourite, if not my favourite Jaded Heart discs to date!!! From the moment the chorus hit on "Live And Let Die" and all the hairs on my body were on end like I had been shocked I was sold! There are a few songs I could do without to be honest, but the ones that are left so more than make up for it. "With Your Eyes", "When You Hear The Thunder", and "Way Back Home" are nothing short of brilliant. Cont...

Not to mention the cover of "Stone Cold" that blows the Rainbow original completly away!!! This thing is pure melodic bliss. Just go buy it, put it on, and ENJOY!!!

From: Melo Date: April 6, 2007 at 9:33
Hehe, the boys know how to play greaaat Melodic Hardrock ! Again a must have for any loyal fan of this genre ! Great voice ! Great Sound ! And of course KILLER ALBUM ! Fantastic Stuff here !

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: April 11, 2007 at 14:04

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: August 20, 2007 at 0:13
GREAT CD buy it now ! But you have to buy the JAPANESE edition with bonus and different tracklist BOBBY BARTH is AMAZING producing that in the same way i did with CITA ! MICHAEL BORMANN really shine on this CD , this guy is a GENIUS !

From: Rycheage Date: September 21, 2007 at 22:01
Near perfection on this outing for the Jaded Heart boys. "Live And Let Die", "When You Hear The Thunder" and their awesome remake of "Stone Cold" are nearly flawless. "Way Back Home" is indeed a stunning ballad. This is a must own for any self-respecting hard rock lover.

From: darobinson Date: October 19, 2007 at 18:11
I must say that metalmusicman is high if he thinks Stone Cold is better by JH than Rainbow. That is a laugh. This disc is very average for these guys. The albums that follow blow this away.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: January 2, 2011 at 8:56
The band brings Bobby Barth on board to produce and the results are nothing short of spectacular, a powerhouse plethora of monstrous melodic hard rock anthems filled with huge hooks and soaring choruses that are finally given the sonic punch to take them to the next level. It would be pretty much impossible to take someone seriously if they claimed to be a melodic hard rock fan and didn't like this album. Four albums, four keepers...that's impressive.

From: hair metal again Date: March 23, 2011 at 10:24
another excellent release by this great band.if you like hard rock music ,then you should buy every JADED HEART (with bormann) release."with your eyes","way back home" and the 2 covers are the highlights.8.5/10

From: rocksoul Date: September 1, 2011 at 6:59
very good release. I don't know them from a long time but I can say they rock at the top. Nice lead vocal and great giutar. Their music is more hard rock-melodic then aor, and I think bormann is not as bon jovi, they are two kind of differnt vocals

From: 123charpenay Date: September 27, 2012 at 14:57
extraordinary german hard fm cd.is it the best of jaded heart?it s very difficult to answer cause all jaded heart s cd s are awesome and hight class a o r records.(i have a weakness for their first record).michael bormann is an fantastic singer.what a voice. wow!!!production perfect , sound perfect record perfect.now jaded heart is a classic and poor metal band.jaded heart was master in melodic rock since their debut album to" helluva time".after it s finish.the japan import of this record have a super class bonus track "africa".(nothing in common with toto).

From: Sly009 Date: January 23, 2013 at 16:03
This is the album. 95 easy. remember back in the days, no band could get as close to this gem ever. when metal went dark, those guys kept the rocking going. not a lot of fillers here. easy play and listen.

From: 123charpenay Date: May 2, 2014 at 10:18
i note four fillers (track 2.3.5.10).when you eliminate these songs you stay with nine atomic bombs!perfect production ,very clear and powerfull sound.the japan import is a priority cause the order of the songs is different and the bonus track (n°1)is really excellent.the covers of rainbow and philip bailey are sensational with the extraordinary voice of michael bormann.
