i m a very big fan of great white.i ve their six first records in my collection.great white "same" to "pshyco motel".i m under the charm of their exceptional hard rock tainted bluesy sometimes, with always a fantastic and clear like water production.for me this new realise is a big deception.all the songs are very average and jack russell have loose his beautiful voice.the first time i ve listen this cd ,i think wow it s not jack russell who is singing it s an other guy?no it s jack with the ravages of time. |

This is a very confusing release to absorb. Is this a Great White album? Is this a Jack Russell solo album? What is this exactly? Well, what this it NOT is a Great White album...so to stamp a GW moniker on this release is very misleading. Fans of GW expect a GW-sounding album that has elements of the bands recognizable sound and style. This fails miserably in that department. As a Jack Russell solo project/album, then this can be reasonably acceptable. If you listen to his other two solo records along with this album, and dismiss the notion of a GW name attached to it - then it is a good bluesy-bar band sounding album. Nothing spectacular in any fashion - but decent. What turned me off was the order of the songs, there is no flow, its mismatched all over the place with different sounding tracks - which is hard to re-listen over again. Whats missing here is "Bad Habit" ( single from a year ago), even though its mentioned in the linear notes. HIGHLIGHTS: #1,4,5,8,10,11 MY RATING: 71/100 |

"nobycane74's" comments, spot on. Track #1 is actually very good, but then the album wanders all over the place. |
