I defy you to find another female vocalist who has as rough and tumble a voice as Tina Egan. She sometimes sounds like Brian Johnson with breasts. Darby Mills lezzing out with Lee Aaron is the comparison I make for this CD. Not necessarily a winner, but definitely a gutsy performance. (I'd like to say 'ballsy', but that would be anatomically incorrect now, wouldn't it?)

I agree, Koogles! I listened to this one today and can say the voice is more scratchy and rough than the Wilson twins' voices.

This is a remastered version of the original album with tracks 13 to 16 added as extras. The extra tracks were essentially demos with lead vocal by Jackie Bodimead who was the original singer before Tina and Judit joined. Also, some of the excellent lead guitar work was performed by Martin Chaisson. Both Jackie and Martin left the band when the album was nearly complete which meant a delay of quite a few months. Glad you like it.

This album was originally recorded with Girlschool vocalist Jackie Bodimead, but she left the band before the album was released. Jackie was replaced by Tina Egan who also re-recorded the vocals for the album. Apparently, Tina had committed suicide sometimes in the 90's. Read about it here: http://www.outlawrecordings.net/ifonly.htm The original version of No Bed Of Roses has just been released under the title Destiny, with some bonus tracks: http://www.outlawrecordings.net/ifonly-cd.htm

I'm a bit sad over this one. I prefer male vocalists, but also like a female vocalist with a nice womanly voice. Here I sometimes struggle to decide if the vocals are male or female. Usually I'd bin it and not care, but this CD is musical melodic hard rock heaven/perfection. 'If love could last forever' is just beautiful, 'I'm no angel' is killer, but honestly, does it get better than 'Ghost of you'?! My idea of the PERFECT melodic hard rock song. 100/100. Excellent CD, shame about the vocals
