Again, the ballads and the rockers make this a great release. In my opinion, their best. Every song was my favorite.

This is my fav Idle Cure album. It contains my fav song, 'Pray', along with other killer rockers. I think I owe this album my musical inclination.

THIS IS IT! Without question, this Idle Cure release is one of the top 10 in Christian music history. From hard-rocking "Pray" to power ballad "Contend for the Faith," the guys really got it all right on this album. A must for anyone who likes Christian rock and that great sound of the 80s and early 90s.

From: James Date: May 25, 2002 at 16:29
The singer sounds almost identical to Paul Stanley and the music is that of early 80's KISS. Great Album. Also pick up the greatest hits package Breakaway, the title song is better than the songs on this album

En este aun imprimen mas potencia a las guitarras y se meten de lleno en el terreno del Hard Rock, pero Hard Rock del bueno, ritmos marchosos y de buen digerir.ECHALES UN VISTAZO.

The reason I looked this cd up in this forum is because it is one of my faves of all time & easily I.C.'c best. Love the up front guitar & Shannon's voice (yeah, Paul Stanley-ish, but also think Bon Scott from early AC/DC-esp. on "It's No Fun..."), but the highlight has to be the incredible, in you face "vocal rock harmonies" ala Def Leppard (esp. "Talk It Out") - like nobody else has done or can do. Like the way they transition hard to ballads with mid-tempo songs. MUST HAVE!

Yet another great record from these guys ! They never made a bad one !

From: cRaShDoG Date: January 19, 2004 at 22:35
fans of AC/DC will love this! great sound, killer lyrics, you just can't go wrong with this disc...especially if you're an 80's metalhead!

I've heard better but sure it's quality material. It's like they try too hard here...

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: May 13, 2005 at 1:45

From: juan carlos Date: April 8, 2006 at 0:31
Tremendo el tema "contend for the faith" pero la mayoría de temas van en una onda hardrock comercial que te llegara a gustar en temas como "don´t turn away" e "if you mean it" por sus buenísimos coros y guitarras pero el resto no da la talla IMO. Asi como la quinta cancion están "ordinary man" y esa bella "picture of love". Buen disco 8.3/10

From: metalmaniac777 Date: July 31, 2010 at 13:41
These heavenly headbangers never made a bad album and their string of successes continues unabated with this third outing, once again (mostly) eschewing the AOR-flavored approach of the debut in favor of a guitar-driven 80s hard rock sound liberally laced with gigantic backing/harmony vocals (check out the "Whoa! Whoa!"s on the opening track, "Pray"). It won't take you a 2nd spin to fall in love with this CD...just one listen will do the trick.

Fantastic CCM band and album...some people above said it's their best one and well it has all the ingredients to be ...rocking tracks with a commercial beat and obviously with some songs leading towards the AOR sound...favourite shots o' mine are "Picture Of Love","Contend For The Faith"(killer ballad)& "Don't Turn Away"...but there are these rocking tracks that hook you up such as "Pray","Human Solution" & "Talk It Out"...highly recommended...96/100

From: hair metal again Date: March 10, 2021 at 13:06
very good release once again for IDLE CURE offering some commercial hard rock tunes with those Christian lyrics being sometimes too much ,but you cant deny their songwriting and performing ability with songs like "talk it out",'pray","it s no fun anymore" and "contend for the faith"!all IDLE CURE s releases are fine

From: Auslander Date: March 24, 2021 at 13:00
Probably the most consistent Idle Cure album that also has the most rockers. Pray, It's No Fun Anymore, Talk It Out, Don't Turn Away, If You Mean It and Dead Or Alive are all great tracks. I can do without the ballads tbh and I tend to skip them, but those rocking tracks with the gang vocals on the choruses are top quality. They sound a bit like Drive, She Said at their most rocking, or a less produced Def Leppard... maybe. Shannon has a great rock voice. For lovers of a harder edged AOR. 86/100. Best track is Don't Turn Away.
