A teriffic album of songs that don't quite fit in with "Ten" although fans of the band will still love this. Hughes is one of the best songwriters in melodic rock today and this is just another in a long list of superb albums. 9.5/10

very good follow up to the s/t album.actually i think this one starts where the other one left off;the production has improved a lot and gary has matured as a songriter.the quality of the material throughout the album is quite high so dont go thinking youll find any fillers in here.totally recommended!!.

Si, In Your Eyes es increible. Esos hooks de la guitarra electrica usando la whammy bar me recuerda mucho ese increible solo de Sykes en Is this Love.

the hook on 'Don't Ever Say Goodbye' reminds me too much of the equally great 'Forget me Not' by Bad English.

What a poser I am!!! I had no idea Gary Hughes had been releasing albums since 1989. I would love to get my hands on the first three. I have this and it reminds me of a more mellow Ten. Some great songs, some average songs but overall a pretty god album. I think the first track's the best.

For many artists this would be the best thing they ever recorded, but by Gary's standard it isn't quite as good as his other solo albums. However, having said that I would have welcomed In Your Eyes, Wrecking Machine and Divided We Fall onto any of his other solo records. Good melodic rock, just softer enough than Ten that it merited a release under the Gary Hughes moniker, although the players on the album are the guys from Ten. A good release. 7.5/10.

GARY HUGHES, ALWAYS AWESOME. WHAT A KILLER ALBUM: THE OPENING IN YOUR EYES IS PURE AOR,DON'T EVER SAY GOOD-BYE REMINDS ME TEN ERA,THE TWO BALLADS FOR ME THE BEST EVER RECORDED BY GARY HUGHES THE COLOURS OF MY LIFE AND THE NIGHT THE LOVE DIED. 10/10.

From: roxas Date: December 18, 2006 at 17:51
I too thought this was Hughes' first solo album but anyway i really like this release. I actually bought this one before I bought "Spellbound" so this was essentially my first time hearaing him. "In your eyes" is awesome but I pretty much agree with what's alreday been said. I like "Precious Ones" too, very nice calm ballad. This Time is a good song too and "Colours" is one of the best ballads he's written.

"In Your Eyes", "The Colours of my Life", "Divided By Fall" y "Precious Ones" mis otras favoritas.

The Night The Love Died. I have NEVER EVER heard a song sung with such emotion. Gave me goose bumps!!! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! BEST BALLAD HE EVER WROTE-HANDS DOWN!
