How can 22 people be so stupid to give a 5,22 to a Ten album?! Every Ten album is a masterpiece... an epic treasure! "Virtual Reality", "You're In My Heart" and "Fly Like An Eagle" are unbelieveble songs!!! What a stupid people!

That baffles me as well. The general consensus is that "The Robe" doesn't measure up to the first 2 albums, but since this album was the first Ten album I'd ever heard it will always hold a special place for me. I only wish that the production on all of the Ten albums weren't so muddy; otherwise the discography would be just about the best out there.

From: Yekdall Date: September 27, 2002 at 4:55
People who don't have taste shouldn't have opinon in anyway... In spite of production leaves out so much to desire, the songs sove any complaint...

From: ESTE AÑO TEN-1 Date: September 27, 2002 at 5:33
Tu mismo lo has dicho tio, a nadie.Perdona la gracia.

In my opinion this is the highest point reached by Ten, after this I still apreciate them, but they disspointed me a little. My favs are Bright on the blade, ten fathoms deep asnd the tittle track.

Great songs-Pants production.

para chanpions o como coño se llame, chaval por favor quitate la cera de los oidos y escucha un poco, para dar esas opiniones mejor que te las metas por el c..., y te calles la boca subnormal, ahora para los demas: un buen disco , aunque sin llegar al the name of the rose , es un gran disco en el que destacan los temas, standing on the edge of time y la gran balada you're in my heart , sin mas un gran disco

From: Geoff Date: August 29, 2004 at 23:17
I see this one as another stellar peice of melodic hard rock. Not too much wrong with it at all. I love their first three releases. 'You're in my heart' is for the softies but is a great ballad.

From: Wachen Date: February 11, 2005 at 16:09
This one is really great! The last song "Somdeday" is a haunting ballad...with probably Gary Hughes best vocal performance ever..

From: Gonzalo rock Date: August 12, 2005 at 6:32
The production is an insult to the brilliant songs of this album. The firt three songs and the ballad you're in my heart are the top of the album and the best way to listen them is the double live cd "Never Say Goodbye".

From: meradona Date: September 13, 2005 at 13:29

Yet another slab of well executed Melodic Hard Rock from Gary Hughes and the boys. Songs like Someday, The Robe, Virtual Reality and the unforgettable Standing On The Edge Of Time are prime examples of why Ten are one of the genre's top selling bands of the modern day. Ok, the production isn't the best, but it sure aint bad either! This was in my opinion the last Ten album that I could describe as practically flawless, until the release of Evermore. Superb. 8.5/10.

From: lalorock Date: September 8, 2006 at 19:21
Buen disco de TEN canciones en plan épico caso de la primera the robe, bright on the blade otro buen tema mas hard rockero, standing of the edge of time es más aor, virtual reality con ese aire místico de guitarras y que conlleva a un medio tiempo maravilloso teniendo de fondo una excelente guitarra acústica,no es un mal album pero tampoco se compara al primero ni al the name of...,se parece mas al spellbound por los temas épicos arcadia, baladones you´re in my heart, buen disco para los sordos 8/10

From: Melo Date: December 1, 2006 at 1:23
ok,the sound is a little bit thin, but the Songs are all Great ! Gary the Man,did it again ! Pure Class from the finest Band of UK 9,5

From: Metalmusicman Date: December 27, 2006 at 3:15
Simply put, another melodic rock masterpiece, just like the last two stellar releases from this all to amazing band. Musicly and melodicly spealing, it picks up where the last one left off, it is just a little more epic in form. Giving you hints of what's to come on "Spellbound", but this one surpasses that one because of the lush melodies and harmonies that beckon back to the amazing debut. Very recomended stuff!!! If you can, get the bonus version. 14 more essential Ten masterpieces! Yummy!!!

In the same line as "The name of the Rose",this album is a very good quality aor.Songs such as "Arcadia" and the mega ballads that the album has, makes it an essential purchase for any self-respected aor freak!!!!.10/10

From: juan carlos Date: March 21, 2007 at 0:28
"The Robe" siempre me pareció demasiado larga y por ende hostigante, paso. "Bright On The Blade" ya es un tema que me gusta mucho más, pero mis favoritas de siempre serán: "Standing On The Edge of Time", "You're In My Heart", "Ten Fathoms Deep" y ese maravilloso final llamado "Someday" que me recuerda a los Journey!. música:9. produccion:7. Global: 8/10

From: elmomias Date: June 7, 2007 at 6:47
Este tiene buenos temas(The robe,You're in my heart(mi favorita),Someday,Standing On The Edge of Time).Del tema "Bright On The Blade" solo merece la pena la intro, luego decae.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: March 16, 2011 at 21:20
Their best release IMHO so far...solid songs..production could have been better but it doesn't shadow the quality of the tracks..."Standing On The Edge Of Time","Arcadia" & "You're In My Heart"(killer ballad) are my favorites..."The Robe"...epic song and amazing choral back up,"Bright On The Blade"(rocks),"Virtual Reality"(beautiful)...get it a.s.a.p.!!!.98/100

From: DonDefo Date: May 3, 2011 at 11:23
Singer makes this album much softer than it could have been I think. It's not typical AOR although "You're in my heart" sound that way, some kind of newer british aor song. The rest is powerful when it comes to name this production as AOR. Of course this clue is very wide and embraces different kind of sub-AOR but still... but for the singer - this has been much heavier. Well, I like it. Good production but with significantly different songs in my opinion.

From: hair metal again Date: January 11, 2013 at 2:00
excellent release by TEN once again and for me this is their best ,as the sound is more powerful and the production more clear!in this one you can find commercial songs and some more epic ones, which is a combo that works for TEN."you re in my heart","standing on the edge of time" and "virtual reality" are the highlights of this fine release!

From: titothetitan Date: August 13, 2018 at 14:36
I'm a bit disappointed with this one because it's not as strong as their first two albums. 'The Robe', 'You're in my heart', 'virtual reality', 'someday' are my favourites.

Guys and Gals: do yourselves a BIG favor. If possible get the 2 CD The Robe Bonus Collection. On the 2nd cd the favs are: Give Me A Piece Of Your Heart, Close Your Eyes And Dream (Live), Turn Around (Live), Xanadu, We Rule The Night (Acoustic). Killer Tunes. WELL worth the investment.
