Saw the band do Romeo as a possible inclusion in the Eurovision Song Contest and was appalled. Lost interest right there and then. Poor management and lack of good songs killed the band stone dead.

Different from previous albuns.THIS ONE is really AOR!It is different but still sounds Heavy Pettin!Never(happy sounding)rock sounded so great!Still kinda Biff Bifford's(from Saxon)but more high pitched vocals!Lots of melodic keyboards!Type of radio friendly tunes!Worth buying for aor listeners! As an AOR effort 85/10!

I like it. It's more of a "hard pop rock" type sound ( ie Bon Jovi type, but there's nothing wrong w/ that, it is a good sound! )Different than the other 2 albums, but real decent. Madonna On The Radio, Looking For Love, Born To Burn, and Romeo, in my opinion, are the best songs.

This what i call "happy popmetal. There is no weak song here. Big Bang has all what commercial monster must have, killer ballad (Romeo), killer rocker(Looking for Love) american anthem(This is america). It's nothing wrong with this album. 10/10!!

Heavy Pettin got slated by the press after they tried to enter the Eurovision song contest with "Romeo",but I dont care as it was a great song (thats why it wasnt a winner,Eurovision has gotta keep up its reputation for churning out shit).

Even Punky recognized there where mistakes in this album (Madonna On The Radio for example), most by been pushed on by preassure of the recording company, I think it is the best Sell-Out album I've heard in my life. This band is just amazing in every single track they ever recorded. Not as big as the 2 first ones but also incredible, a much more AOR-Pop aproach to their sound...anyway fantastic as always delivering melody an attitude. Looking For Love, is one of the all-time-favorite-most-memora

Found this gem on ebay. Not as good as the first two, but still not bad. A bit mor commercialised, but not one dud on this disk. If you enjoyed Lettin Loose and Rock Aint Dead, then this is a must.

Para mi el unico bueno de este grupo. Canciones pegadizas y felicianas, y porque no decirlo tambien algo empalagosillas. A mi me han gustado mucho Romeo, Looking for love y Madonna on the radio.

Great British 80's AOR on here. Of course the whole Eurovision thing destroyed their cred but don't let that stop you from tracking this down as it's a real gem. Very cheesy, and pretty horrible weak-sounding vocals, but some great tunes. The first 2 tracks are magnificent, as is "Looking for Love" and the great ballad "2 Hearts". I think this was re-released a few years back so any copy you find now will be one of these. Soundwise it's not a million miles from EASY ACTION or early RETURN. 9/10.

Totally agree that this album is different than the previous two. But I feel that the first album is way different than the second. Evolve is what they did. The definately go down the more AOR road on this one but pull it off. There are some very good songs on this one. Madonna, Romeo, Title Cut and This is America are all worthy tracks. If you like Heavy Pettin' and it seems like you either like 'em or you don't, you will get what you like on this one. Different though. Expect Different.

There is no doubt that these vocals are different and maybe not for everyone... maybe a bit hard to swallow at times, but the songs certainly do not create the same problem. I was amazed at how good the previous disc was when I first heard it ages ago, and I am again extremely impressed with this disc. No fillers, just good solid melodic hard rock. I'm trying to pick a fave, but they pretty much all are, especially 'Romeo', 'Don't call it love', 'Two hearts', 'Madonna' etc. Great disc and band.

Musically very good but the voice is strange. Like with the voice of ZENO-s/t (though he has a quite different voice) it's hard to get on with it. Still one to get.. 8,2/10

Now writing my comment in english(remember guys that english is now the official language at HH)this album 4 me is brilliant!!!...their most melodic release of them all..subtle AOR everywhere ....my fave track is the poppy one "Romeo" but then we have top notch tracks such as the opener "Born To Burn","Lonely People"(love this one!),"This Is America","Looking For Love"(catchy song),"Don't Call It Love"(another killer catchy one)& "Heaven Sent"(this one was the first Heavy Pettin track that i listened,it came in a 4 song ep in a Metal Hammer magazine back in the 80's )..."Two Hearts" a nice ballad 2 close the album with...as u can read my appreciation of the album is pretty complete ...get it!.95/100

Not a patch on the first two albums with a lack of good songs & a much more AOR direction. It seems they had one eye on the American market but must have been wearing a patch over the other eye as this is such a disappointment.

I don't get all the criticism of the vocals: they sound a bit strange but they still sound good to me. My picks from this one: Born to Burn: great vocals, guitars and keys in this one, I find myself singing along to the great chorus; Romeo: great ballad which is lyrically very good too; again, I think the vocals realy shine; Lonely People: great bass and keys here and did I mention that I like the vocals? Madonna On The Radio has super keys and guitars. My final pick is Heaven Scent which has a very melodic solo. The rhythm is tight, the guitars nice and polished with a hint of rawness and the vocals are different but still most definitely a winner.
