Their best by far IMO. Never been a huge fan, but I really like the debut and III. But Move On is a lot better, more MR than AOR, more guitar driving songs, Chris Ousey is in fine form, and they finally get a great drum sound, possibly because this record does have a real drummer. Tracks 2,7 and 10 are highlights. 8/10

Excellent new CD!!!! This is the best album of the band to date!!! Heavy guitars, excellent vocals and great hooklines at last!!!! Heartland are in the right way!!!! A must for Heartland fans and a good buy for melodic hard rockers!!!! "Move On"... the title says it all!!! The band has moved on to a better sound and memorable songs!!!

I'm a bit less enthusiastic, I'm afraid ! The band are far heavier now, and that's a bad move IMO ! O.K., what they offer is still class, but I prefer their previous releases above this newie, cause their previous work was excellent AOR ! Now it's pure hardrock ! I like hardrock, but I like AOR even more and Chris voice is made for AOR ! No, I'm disappointed. Too heavy for Heartland, this newie !

This may not be the same AOR band that made the debut, but this is still very MELODIC hard rock IMO. Soundwise this is similar to Morris' SHADOWMAN album from last year. Stunning production (the involvement of Tommy Hansen to mix the album was a masterstroke) and the use of big, punchy backing vocals on these songs make this a step-ahead of all their albums but the first 3. Fave track is "Too Sad to Cry" - is just a shame they stole the chorus from "Real World" from their debut. Excellent. 8/10.

never hearing anything by this band I was excited about the new one, hmmmm, not sure what to say, good sounding disk, everything's good but the songs just do not pull my strings yet, I will keep listening and possibly seek out some older Heartland stuff!!!

nothing new about this record, same old Heartland, might even be a bit boring from time to time.....NO the real deal is their first album, get that one if you can, a classic AOR cd.....

A great piece of melodic Hard/A.O.R.This is a natural progression from "Communication" with Ousey in superb voice and not losing his style within the harder edge of the songs.Morris is on fire throughout this album, from lush and subtle keys through to some seering fretboard work.Beautifully produced, they should be well proud of this album....

Am really getting into this disc now, is a real grower. Incidentally I have the special Japanese edition with one less track. Go figure? Has a much preferable running order though, but I'd hardly recommend buying it over the Euro release.

Great harmonies and thick layered sound make this the highlight of 2005 so far. This is their bast release to date. There is not one filler tune to be found. As good as their other albums are, there is filler on each one albeit one or 2 songs and those are not bad songs either. I have gone from the first song to the last song and did not hit the skip button once. Excellent release.

No offense at all Tim(2) but it's about damn time the Euro release has more tunes than the Japanese pressing Nothing more irritating than having to repurchase the same cd just because they added a track or two for the Japanese release. Having never been a fan of these guys before I was pretty blown away by this one. Those put off by the AOR leanings on the earlier releases def. need to give this one a spin. Still very melodic but a very healthy groove has been added to spice things up.

Absolute killer cd. Easily ( altho i love the brilliant debut cd also , which for me is a classic) their best to date. Love the perfect mix between (heavier) AOR and melodic rock. And what a killer song to finish the cd. Rotate is an awesome melodic rock song. Thumbs up for the move (on ) Heartland made. 8,3/10

I really enjoyed this album despite the somehow change of direction...still conserves its AOR roots and that's at least fine...Chris Ousey's singing as good as usual and the rest of the musicians doing a pretty good job too!!! ..."Hard Hearted Man" is an excellent starter,"City Of Lights" is a catchy AOR song,"How Was I To Know" rocks very good,"I'm Getting Ready" is another excellent track,AOR at its best!,"Too Sad Too Cry" is an awesome one & "One Fine Day" is a highlight...in general lines, for die hard fans of the band it won't be too much of a killer release but surely still appeals to lovers of AOR like me and tons more!!! .90/100

the more hard, the more dynamic record from heartland.unfortunatelly not their best.two fillers tracks 6 and 10.the rest is good ,not more.they play hard than never ,in their own style.with time the special voice of chris ousey is tiresome.this record have not the charm and the class of their brilliant debut album and III.this record never hooked me really.
