good album nothing more

Haywire never made the same album twice... they were like chameleons. Here's the fourth costume change: Haywire's attempt at funk metal. "Get Off" takes a cheap swipe at the Extreme sound, with fairly effective results. Favorite tracks: "Get Back", "One Heart" and "Wanna Be The One".

Being a big fan in there heyday this album was a stretch from nuthouse. A few tracks like "Wanna be the one " stood out for me. In 1992 music was changing and haywire needed a new spark. Although I did not care for the big transition from the heavier nuthouse to Funkier Get Off. Shows diversity, but 4 albums and 3 styles of music made me wonder what category we put Haywire under.. I think great canadian rock would do.

Different - thats all - nothing less - nothing more - too bad - this was the CD that did the band in - too bad - after their first two - they came out roaring - just to die out hard - times were changing - and so were they I guess. If you have everything else - you might as well grab this to complete the catalogue. If your starting out - grab the first two and then decide. All in all not recommended only if you have nothing to do - have a listen then have a laugh.

I agree GlenRavine. I was hoping to see the "Best of Haywire" here for my comments. It was one of the worst compilations I had ever listened to. I liked "Buzz" but after the first two albums they didn't have the juice in them anymore. The band fell victim to the 1990's and that was it for them. I saw them in concert on July 1, 1992, for the Great Canadian Party in St. John's, NFLD, and they put on an awesome show. I didn't like this new sound at all.

Awesome! Smashing release from these guys! Totally blew me away when I first listened to it. This is the kind of music that we need to come back. Straight out of the late 80's, early 90's good time hard rock with attitude driven vocals. Slight sleazy overtones thrown in for good measure. The best songs being the straight out rockers "Down On You" & "The Worst Part" also the sensantional ahead of it's time ballad "Buzz". A must for your hard rock collection & quite cheap on the wallet too.

It's all very well and admirable to make an album as diverse as this, but highly unlikely you're going to find a solid fanbase. 'Wanna be the one' is sensational melodic hard rock, as is the huge anthem that is 'One heart' and 'Love needs a hand' is an immense ballad. 'Buzz' is almost r & b but not the worst track on the CD. There are plenty of those to contend with. Odd band because they wrote a couple of such good songs, but seemed more interested in writing, IMO, absolute crap.

Well what can i say about this album...liked it a lot!..even though is like a crazy mix of AOR,Pop,Funk & Techno(!)"The Bunker" is a danceable intro...after the intro "Hypnautica" comes a solid song "Down On You","Get Back" is a Funk song ala Extreme,"The Worst Part" has a cool beat,"Wanna Be The One" has some rapping crazy parts(!!!)and ironically is my personal fave track(!!!!!)hahahha,"Buzz" is a nice & smooth Pop one,"All talk No Action" is the rock song of this release,"One Heart" is hard AOR,"Knuckles" is ala Van Halen or David Lee Roth album Skyscraper's type of songs and "Love Needs a Hand" is a wonderful ballad..find out for yourselves!.90/100
