bastante decente, tiene temas, pero sin llegar ni de lejos a sus 2 primeras obras supremas. 6/10 |

OK, this is better than "Voice of Reason" (then again, a farting dog sounds better than "Voice of Reason") but still nowhere near the lofty standard the band achieved with their first two CDs. This kind of comes across as a mix between the polished melodic hard rock of "Mood Swings" and the dark, heavy flavor of "V.O.R." but unfortunately the band is only able to craft a couple of songs that really stand out, such as "Die Off Hard" and "Hail, Hail." By this point in their started-with-a-bang-but-settled-into-a-whimper career, at least for me, the band was really beginning to gobble up all the good karma they had gained with their classic debut and sophomore CDs, and were in serious danger of being written off. Thankfully, subsequent albums would come along and deliver the goods once again, wiping the slate clean of travesties like "V.O.R." and so-so efforts like "Karma Cleansing" and reaffirming my faith in Harem Scarem as one of the top acts in the melodic hard rock genre. |
