| Last in Line's 3rd release....I appreciate the band standing on their own two-feet and making an effort in recording/release new music. With that being said, I still feel like the band is still a bit in an identiy-crisis. I think there is still a hidden (fan) expectation that they should be sounding like those 3-early DIO albums ('83-85), while there are subtle hints of that - they are trying to branch out and create their own sound, rather than being a complete copy of themselves (which I respect 100%). Hoewever, after listening to this album multiple times, I still found myself "bored", and not having any memorable tracks to repeat listening too. Don't get me wrong - there are some really good tracks here, the writing, the musicianship and the sonics/sound of the production is great...everyone is playing well. But again, nothing memorable or standing out... Rating: 7/10.
