pretty good debut for LAST IN LINE with great vocal work by Freeman and decent musicianship by the rest of this all star band!Viv performs well and shows he s capable of providing good riffs except superb solos!the songs are remarkable and def in a more updated DIO vibe!"devil in me","starmaker","blame it on me" and "heavy crown " are the highlights !good stuff

Good HardRock with a great production, there are some good riffs that do not blow my mind but it's good anyway. There are many songs that reminds me of the Mighty DIO classic stuff like "Devil in Me" "Orange Glow" etc. "The Sickness" could be my favorite track here. "Heavy Crown" acoustic is the japanese bonus track, good. 85/100

LAST IN LINE is a complicated release that has taken me almost a whole year to absorb and digest. Being that the band was 4/5 of the original DIO band - my expectations were faulty because I duped myself in thinking I was going to hear a faithful set of return of those 3 classic DIO albums, just without RJD. I had to cleanse my expectations when re-listening to this release...it is a solid album for what it is, just the hype prior to its release is what killed it for me. However, their sophomore release should be something more than what we hear here...because there is a lot of monotonous sounding tracks. HIGHLIGHT TRACKS: #1, 3, 6, 7, 9. MY RATING: 81/100

Respect Vivian's playing on the first 3 DIO records, but this guy to this day still cannot help himself when it comes to taking a swipe at Ronnie..get over it buddy.RJD put you on the map- be happy, say Thank You and move on......'Last In Line' don't do much for me to be honest.I guess Andrew Freeman' is on a quest to front every active 80's band at least once.
