WARNING WARNING!!!!!!!! Don't buy this release if you like their earlier stuff. I think they OPENed a can of bad meat when they wrote this crap. I threw this cd in the trash after 1 listen.

I'm not sure I'd go *THAT* far. Their later efforts certainly are not as rocking as their first few, but as acoustic and/or laid-back AOR goes, it's quite solid. Very melodic, just not as raucus (maybe they're getting old )

From: Rocker Date: December 19, 2001 at 17:39
this CD kick ass!! best gotthard cd, AOR forever!

From: Roland Date: January 18, 2002 at 3:04
Forget the hard rock they did before, this is their first mature album, great stuff like "Blackberry Way".

From: music man Date: January 21, 2002 at 10:20
Holy cow, It's Gotthard lite with 75% less crunch. Obviously alot of people didn't take kindly to their 360 degree change in style on this one. Their hard edge is long gone but the melodies really shine through on this new brand of Gotthard. Anyone with a taste for catchy AOR won't be disappointed.

From: CAMP HELL Date: May 27, 2002 at 10:13
I AGREE THE PUNCH IS GONE .I DO LIKE THE MELLOW STUFF BUT ITS JUST NOT YOU GUYS...MIGHT AS WELL CHANGE THE BAND NAME TO GETSOFT CAUSE THATS WHAT U ARE NOW SOFT ROCK! U GUYS NEED TO STOP FALLING INTO THE TREND AND GO BACK TO BASICS LIKE THE 1ST AND 2ND ALBUMS!

From: Kim Date: August 11, 2002 at 12:30
I totally agree. No punch is a right phrase. I really liked their first 3 releases, but this......Uhh. Im glad that bands like Primal Fear, Sinner, Gamma Ray, Pretty Maids, Pink Cream 69, Judas Priest, Helloween, Savatage, Halford and Royal Hunt are sticking to what they do best. Make some good hard Rock`n Roll. This is a sell out.

Vision, you...buenos temas..

From: Kikirikiiiiiii! Date: May 29, 2003 at 7:35

From: Edilson Date: August 5, 2003 at 10:16
Fantástic! Fantástic! The band come back with many many songs unforgetable!!! Let It Rain, Back To You, Free and Alive, You....

From: mj Date: January 31, 2004 at 15:15

From: Grimwulf Date: March 28, 2004 at 7:33
I must say, i havent heard anything but this cd. Cant find them anywhere in Canada, but i do like this album alot! Very melodic, and catchy...something u can throw on, crank up, and go about ur day!!!

From: Eugenio "Waite" Date: April 21, 2004 at 1:54
This is great, I think The attitude is still there and the style. I like this band and this disc in special. + nobody has mentioned that is in this point we have no other than Mr. Mandy Meyer Ex-Krokus, Asia and Katmandu as the second guitar player, making some great great work like always. So who says they go downhill form here ah!??

From: Big Papa K Date: June 13, 2004 at 1:35
They have gone to a more laid back aor style, but if you can get past that, this is the ultimate Gotthard album. From their stunning cover of "Blackberry Way" to great originals such as "You" and "Vision". No wonder they are the biggest rock band in Switzerland with tunes like these. 9/10

From: Grimwulf Date: August 27, 2004 at 20:53
I now own The s/t, Dial hard, and the G cd, and i still say this is a great album. Just due to the fact that Steve Lee is a very talented vocalist and throw that into the mix with the other talented members of this band...and whatever they do, its simply amazing!!!!! Long live Gotthard.......(h)

From: MALLORCAS ROCK Date: January 11, 2005 at 5:53
VAya grupazo... Temazo tras temazo... Super recomendadísimo... 8.5/10

From: Geoff Date: January 20, 2005 at 4:00
Although I think the early hard rocking Gotthard was great but might have got repetetive over 15 years, I'm not sure this was the way to go either. I believe there are three mid-tempo melodic rockers I like here, like 'You', but there are some pretty terribly poor songs on this CD, almost country flavoured at times. Not the best by any means - easily their worst in fact, IMO.

From: capdevilla Date: February 12, 2005 at 9:30
It's not the real Gotthard !! Too soft !!

From: Erik Date: February 13, 2005 at 16:01
I agree thats its "2" soft. But listen to the song "You". Thats an awesome melodic aor killer track.

From: kike Date: February 19, 2005 at 8:10

From: glam_tr Date: April 30, 2005 at 9:36
It's not like their first 3 album but if you want solid, melodic and good ballads then get it!!

From: AOR freaky Date: April 30, 2005 at 13:44
Notice : I do NOT own this record, but I'v heard it from the first song till the last ! This solid ? ! I'm afraid not. It's real pop crap, even La Britney sounds heavier and better ! The first Gotthard rocked hard, but they've lost it. Maybe their next, out soon, will be a return to form ? !

From: Lovedrive Date: June 2, 2005 at 7:38

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: September 22, 2007 at 3:19
GOOD CD the SOFTEST so far !!! IF youwant more edge you can check "g"Or"dial hard" this one is soft but still rock in his way and still a terific sense of melody BUT some more GUITARS will be welcomed STEVE LEE is one of the TOP 10 singer ever !!!honey for your METAL EARS ! 84/100

From: Swedish Rocker Date: October 4, 2009 at 10:46
The change in style on this certainly came as a shock for me, and when I listened to it the first time I was extremely disappointed, like so many others. But over the years it has grown on me and I must say I don't think it is so bad after all. Actually there are songs I really like on this one. Cheat and Hide has become one of my favourite Gotthard songs, for example

From: 123charpenay Date: February 22, 2012 at 14:01
very big surprise the first time i heard this album.after 3 bombs of swiss hard rock gotthard change of direction and play a o r.for a result ......average.a half of this record is excellent top class a o r.the other half is diapointed too soft too variety.nevertheless i keep this record in my collection cause the good songs are fantastics.the japan import ids hightly recommanded cause the bonus track n°14 "mad love" is really excellent.for information for french and swiss fans gotthard will be at festival "guitares en scène" july 27 at saint julien en genevois france swiss frontier near genova.and so they will be october 26 in annecy france at the "brise glace".don t miss this exceptionnal band with their new singer!!!!!!
