Damn this a bad one, what happened to the old stuff. THey used to be fantastic, now theyre NOT.

From: metal_man73 Date: November 1, 2001 at 16:59
This is a very mellow rock album. The singer sounds alot like Johnny Gioeli from Hardline.I like this album but their older stuff is better!

From: Dragonfly Date: December 13, 2001 at 8:26
I gave up on this band after their last release. Didn't buy this one but heard it's crap.

From: Roland Date: January 18, 2002 at 3:05
An awesome piece of AOR, if you like Bon Jovi, you'll love this one.

From: Quique Date: April 10, 2002 at 21:32
Only say that this is the last music son of this amazing band, so good than the others.

From: booper71 Date: July 15, 2002 at 0:11
Wun Gai is the worst song of their career but this album is chock full of goodness, doesn't take many listens to realize it's a Gem!

Gotthard is the best "Hard Rock" Band of today. Great songs, one of the best singers in rock (also LIVE), top production and one of the best live-bands. If you are in to melodicrock you need at least one GOTTHARD CD. :-))

From: Ivan garcia Date: March 9, 2003 at 14:52

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: March 9, 2003 at 16:10
I've heard their version of 'Take It Easy' (originally done by Andy Taylor for the American Anthem soundtrack). It's not to bad, but the original is a little more "crunchy" sounding. The other stuff that I have heard from these guys is pretty weak. A band born without balls.

From: Great Dane Date: March 9, 2003 at 20:09
Jason I dont always aggree with you, and eventhough I HATE to admit it, youre right. The three first Gotthard releases were superb. Quite 'ballsy' But after that, they turned into a ehhhhh. if I should say it mildly. A F***** CRAPPY SHITTY SELLOUT BAND. I dont know if you have heard the 3 first releases. but they rock.

From: jason (FA - Q) Date: March 9, 2003 at 21:20
"You hate to admit it"?WHAT? I don't know why you don't like me? I can't remember ever say anything that might have upset you?? If you don't like me, that's cool. Just shut your mouth and quit being a "Great Pain." Eventhough I HATE to admit it, you are.

From: robert Date: March 10, 2003 at 15:56
Ara mismo son los putos Amos!!!

From: Great Dane Date: March 10, 2003 at 19:52
Jazzzon. If Im a pain to you, thats fine. You just keep writing endless piles of shit to everybody that doesnt aggree with you. 1. TIM Got To Get A Life 2. KIM Empty Headed 3. Jimbo Woke Up Wet Again 4. T-Bone For Boys Only 5. Reno Tribute To Kid Rock! Those were your latest 'extremely intelligent posts on the message board. C* YA in the message board.

From: purrfect-kat Date: June 15, 2003 at 14:05
I can't believe some people have slammed this cd . . If you love good melodic Hard Rock then You'll love this cd . . . Songs such as 'Come Along" are very catchy and one cannot forget the Excellent power ballad called "Heaven" . . . This cd is pretty good so if ya don't have it then I recommend getting it.

From: freddy de keyze Date: June 15, 2003 at 16:11
Of course the people that have slammed this CD are right !!! Purrfect-kat, this CD is not even AOR, it's some soft-pop, acoustic based ect. Not worth any attention at all. They have much better CD's out, their first ones, which were at least rocking !

From: purrfect-kat Date: June 15, 2003 at 16:33
dear Freddy . . . I have all their cds including their rare tracks and I will agree that early gotthard had a harder edge to their music but I will not agree that their earlier work is better then their last releases . . . . AGAIN . . I recommend this cd to anyone who likes a good power Ballad or some catchy songs like "Come Along" . . . Now Freddy don't be rockin the boat because from everything I have seen it looks like there are a few people at this site wanting to hang u high from a tree.

From: freddy de keyze Date: June 15, 2003 at 16:40
Dear purrfect-kat, I didn't say that Gothard is a bad band, even it is not one of my faves. But Homerun is not good, that's all. And I know some guys here hate me, but there are at least as many people who support me. So ! That's life. Freedom of speech is still the most important and sometimes we don't agree, sometimes we do ! All the best !

From: Rycheage Date: July 2, 2003 at 21:43
A more mature sound to compliment their matured approach and the more laid back nature of the album. The production quality is superb and a pleasure to listen to. The guys do their best American FM rock sound, yet their is still thoroughly European. A good rock album that maybe could have been better with a few punchier numbers, but for fans of the smoother side, this is highly recommended. The CD features some of the better production work I have heard in recent times.

From: T-Bone Date: July 13, 2003 at 20:02
AAAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!! Although this wasn't a bad CD if it were to stand alone and not have the previous efforts to compare it to. I loved the sound and vibe of the first 3 and they took a divebomb from there. Mostly light ballady material here. The cover of Take it Easy isn't bad, but sad to say, it's probably the hardest rocker of the entire CD. 6/10

From: cornelius Date: July 26, 2003 at 16:21
I LOVE Rock ballads - so I like this one a lot. And isn't LOVING no better than HATING, guys?? Important too is that they have a high quality standard in every and any way! -That's it.

From: Edilson Brasil Date: August 5, 2003 at 10:33
Beautiful album!! Melodic Rock with high quality. The songs are soberbs... Light In Your Eyes remember Bon Jovi, Come Along, Take it Easy, Homerun (Fantastic Song With a Excelent History!)

From: John Date: August 14, 2003 at 13:22
Their style has changed, but the sound is still superb. 'Everything Can Change' is pretty proufound stuff coming from a band that speaks English as a second language.

From: Jarrockero Date: August 22, 2003 at 7:50

From: robert Date: November 13, 2003 at 18:43
Q temazo mas Genial es HEAVEN!!! Grandioso disco!!

From: Aorocker Date: December 1, 2003 at 20:20
Simply The Best Effort From The Swiss Kings Of Melodic Rock.Excellent Songs That You Cannot Forget..Just Hear It...

From: Great Dane Date: December 1, 2003 at 20:54
Huh............possibly their worst effort so far.I hate it when rockbands turn into a singalong / karaoke band.

From: Evil_Peter Date: January 5, 2004 at 12:28
Bad, crappy album. Take It Easy is just disco with guitars.

From: run2u Date: February 6, 2004 at 12:17

From: Big Papa K Date: June 13, 2004 at 1:38
Gotthard slip big time on this one. While there are strong tunes such as "Everything Can Change" and "Come Along", there is also "Heaven" a terrible re-write of a Savage Garden song, and "Take It Easy", their worst cover song to date. Wonder if the relationship between Gotthard and Chris Von Rohr ended after this one because if it's inconsistency. 6/10

From: jessica96fish Date: September 1, 2004 at 6:22
sorry but although this is softer than some that have gone before it.this is one hell of an album full stop.well crafted songs.and a die for production.these guys have prooved they can do it all.one of the best bands to come out of europe.in the past ten years.

From: Geoff Date: September 1, 2004 at 7:46
Wow, this one got a bad reception too. Lucky for me I never really found too much joy in the straight ahead hard rock days of Gotthard. I always liked them, but not as many standout tracks as this one. 'Everything can change' is an awesome commercial rocker, 'Take it easy' and 'Reason to live' are great, 'Say goodbye' is a superb ballad. I really like 'Heaven' too, though the title track is terrible. Good consistent commercial hard rock release.

From: Date: October 15, 2004 at 13:58

From: borntorun Date: February 13, 2005 at 14:05

From: Kike Date: February 14, 2005 at 16:32

From: z4roxx Date: February 25, 2005 at 20:01
Screamin'cd!!Wow!Last 2 Gotthard cd are simply piece of awesome melodick rock! The Gotthard's carrier before these cd is really forgettable,IMO.But in the track"Light in your eyes"I can hear the same riff of"Hungry for a game"by Skagarack??Am I wrong mate??Stellar band, masterpiece release!!!10/10!

From: Grimwulf Date: March 3, 2005 at 3:38
Well..........it seems we all agree that its not the heaviest stuff gotthard has done.....but still, very consistent release from a stellar guitarist like leoni and a FAB vocalist in Steven Lee...altho they have went a mellower direction, they are still a kick ass rock n roll band imo!!

From: Lovedrive Date: May 18, 2005 at 15:59
Take it easy, Eagle, Come along.. Gran disco rockero!.

From: stryper Date: July 20, 2005 at 11:01
ok.so you may not like it on the softer side.but come on guys.this is the real deal!!!.it doesn't come better than this.one of my favourite bands of the last ten years.along with great bands like fair warning von groove.oh yeah and stryper...lol

From: Lennie Date: February 10, 2006 at 8:06
A more polished sound here, but tracks 2,4,8 & 10 are worth the cost of picking this one up alone. Seek out.

From: Chris_GR_Aor Date: February 27, 2006 at 17:19
With no doubt "Homerun" is the most catchy album of the swiss kings.Contains some of their best ballads...like "Homerun","Heaven","Reason To Live".Everybody who loves AOR & melodic rock will love this album.10/10.

From: erik Date: May 25, 2007 at 2:56
I love this album. More of aorish / melodic rock feel to the songs. Just listen to Everything can Change or Take it Easy. Awesome feel good songs. Makes you long for a long warm summer and anything that comes along with it.... 9/10

From: MelodicMetal4Ever Date: February 16, 2012 at 16:01
Homerun??!! not exactly but a SOLID triple for sure. YES, its NOT the first 3 albums but to me THIS is much more melodic and really solid AOR. How can you deny awesome songs like "Reason To Live, Come Along, Homerun, Dirty Weekend, Everything Can Change, Heaven (TRULY AWESOME!!) Light In Your Eyes & Take It Easy". I dare ANY TRUE AOR fan to try this and tell me its not great! Gotthard has a solid truly melodic piece of art..check it out and see.

From: hair metal again Date: April 1, 2012 at 7:38
very good hard rock release by GOTTHARD !all the songs are well executed and structured and the tunes sound good!this is European commercial hard rock and of course it cant compete the US in groove ,musicianship and attitude!many memorable songs like "reason to live","light in your eyes" ,"heaven" and "come along".you wont be disapointed with that!

From: 123charpenay Date: April 12, 2013 at 11:08
gotthard is one of the more talented band of this planet.in 2000 they decide to change their music style.finish the extraordinary hard rock from the three first cd s.now they plays a o r.pure a o r.no problem ,these guys are some genius ,so they deliver in a blink of an eye ,a real a o r masterpiece named "homerun".i can understand that the fans from the start of the band where very surprised and a little disorientated, but when the music is good....personally i love the two faces of gotthard.one bonus track on the japan import (average).

From: MelodicMetal4Ever Date: October 6, 2021 at 20:24
If people could forget the first 3 albums and listen to this for what it IS, NOT what YOU think it SHOULD be, you'll find it very enjoyable. Try this, Forget it's a GOTTHARD album and this is just another band and listen to it with an open mind. I'm sure you can find SOMETHING to like about it. Great AOR songs..love this cd.

From: Murat_D Date: October 19, 2023 at 16:36
It may be mellower than first 3 releases , but it's still a great enjoyable hard rock album!
