| This is the record to put on if youre hedin downtown a sutterday night. If you dont get in the right mood for a heavy rock'n'roll night with youre friends and a bunsh of beer after listening to this album, youre dead. 10 out of 10 knuckles.

| One of THE best rock albums.Definitely only hits on this album,even the cover of "Hush" is better than the original.Best track is "Firedance" with the lead guitar and a fabulous solo of none else than Mr Vivian Campbell.A stunning effort that should be in every collection.

| Awesome cd from an awesome band. They stopprd making raunchy Rock'N Roll after their third release, but still produce listenable POP music. Just bought their new cd. Human Zoo. Again, they make a cd which is very listenable, but easily forgotten.....hmmm maybe not by your girlfriend or mother, because its damn soft.............If you want Heavy guitars, go and get Sinners new release 'There Will Be Execution'.

| Their version of Deep Purples Hush ROCKS!!! I absolutely love this tune! Other fav's are tracks 2,3,6,7,and 9. This CD and G are my two favorites by this band by far. I've heard that their new one returns them to this sound so I'll have to give that a try. Steve Lee and Leo Leoni are a great team!

| The first album. Killer!!! Hard&Heavy with excellent quality. Mr."drummer" Hena is a machine, Leo is a perfect guitar, Marc is excellent and "God" Steve Lee is "soberb"!!!!!!! Hey, Vivian Campbell play guitar in this album in Get Down and Firedance.

| Where the Swiss legends started it all. This is probably the hardest rocking of Gotthard's albums, but also maybe the weakest. But a weak Gotthard album is a strong one. The opening three tracks are killer. A little weak later on in the album, but a good start. 7/10

| Great debut! 'Standing in the light' is a killer hard rock opener, closely followed by another gem in 'Downtown', 'Hush' is great, 'Angel' is a killer ballad, 'Lonely heartache' is the album highlight for me and a monster rocker, and 'All I care for' is a lovely sentimental close to the album. Stellar debut from a great band.

Great Hard Rock. sin duda un grupazo de Hard Rock que duda cabe, un tremendo album con canciones hechos para una persecusion policial jajaja, y es que esas combinaciones alucinantes que meten son unicas pocos grupos de Hard lo hacen  Angel(la SUPERJOYA), Downtown, Hush(tremenda version de los padres Purple, el grupo mas grande del Hard Rock, de los 3 grandes de la movida Hard-Heavy Zepellin, Sabbath y Purple sin duda Purple son los que mas me gustan para mi los mejores), Take Me...

| Angel suena muy descaradamente a Whitesnake algo como Is This Love, que temasos ambos ah, ahora e visto muchas opiniones sobre el mejor grupo de Suiza y la mayoria da su punto a Gotthard, bueno el lo referente a Hard Rock lo son, pero China son lo mejor en Hard Melodico, como estaba dialogando con mi amigo Joan, ambos son lo mejor en su estilo, las mejores bandas de Suiza sin duda alguna.

| I picked this up when it was first released and I loved it. But I lost track of them after this one. Probably because my tastes turned to heavier stuff. As per the comments here , it looks like the only other releases worth picking up by these guys is the next 2, so I will do so!

| Simply a classic hard rock disc. I enjoy ALL of Gotthard but they sound the best on this and Dial Hard, IMHO. Tremendous singer and punch in the guitars that will have you groovin' in no time!

| If you're a sucker for hard rock that packs a punch like a Mike Tyson uppercut, you'll be glad you got Gotthard. It would be very tough for anyone to hate this CD, as it's packed to the gills with cracking tunes, particularly the awesome cover of Deep Purple's "Hush," which annihilates the original like a Viking beserker rampaging through a village of helpless virgins and all by itself makes this album worth owning. If you ain't got this, by all means get it. A really good example of hard rock done right.

| love this record.for me their best with lipservice.remember in 1992 we were among the shit grunge wawe.this marvellous band have the balls to make a real melodic hard rock record.this album is a masterpiece a real jewel.all songs are extraordinary.sorry rick i hate the short instrumental at the end.absoluty no interest.but the rest wow!!!!!!!!!!it s so good.unfortunately the japan import have no bonus tracks.

| Gotthard is the best hard rock band emerged in the 90's, this album is fantastic, love this band!! Steve Lee rules, the first 3 albums are great,pure hard rock, after de Open album they change their sound to a more polished aor style. Always great. Every Steve Lee album is excellent!! Since then, Gotthard is one of my favourite bands. Sin duda Gotthard es una de esas bandas que desde la primera vez que la escuchas, si eres fan al hard rock, llega para quedarse. Siempre bien trabajadas sus canciones, músicos dedicados sin duda. No dudé en conseguir toda su discografía a pesar de que los escuché por primera vez en 2003. Una banda con agallas al haber comenzado su exitosa carrera en 1992. Bienvenido Nick Maeder, aunque siempre existirá el recuerdo del estupendo y carismático Steve Lee, una leyenda hoy en día para todos los que amamos esta música.
